Fred's Automotive Service & Repair

August 21 my friend and I went to Fred's garage for a loose in the steering wheel. They told us that is probably the tie rods and it'll be ready in 2 or 3 hours. We went back after 3 hours, spoke to the mechanic, he told me that he changed both tie rods, and we should be fine now. I asked him if he noticed anything else and says no. We left squamish and I noticed that there was no loose in the steering anymore, but a new sound in the tires. We had very used tires so we didn't stop. We were in the traffic from horseshoe bay to almost Chiliwack until I drove more than 100km/h. The steering wheel was shaking and we didn't feel safe at all. That's when we took off the caps over the tires to encounter that 2 wheel nuts were missing/broke on the same  The mechanic (we don't know his name) broke 2 wheel nuts probably when he tried to take out the tires and didn't tell us. That's is so dangerous and irresponsible from him. We could have been in an accident. He should haveus right away. We were too far from squamish to came back. We had to fix this at Canadian Tire. 307 $. We went to this garage at first because everywhere else was booked and the reviews on that place was good. I don't know for the others mechanics, but the guy who "fixed" our car is dangerous and should be fired.

Fantastic experience dealing with Fred and the team. Friendly, efficient and affordable, would certainly recommend. Had a routine car service and had exhaust leak repaired, Fred was happy to show me the work that had been done as well as explain and demonstrate the problem. First class experience across the board.

He was so kind and help us with a problem that we had without any appointment because we were in trouble. He changed my clutch oil for free because I already have my own oil and was very sweet to us. THANKS a lot!!!!

A huge shout out to the team down at Freds Automotive! One of our work vans broke down today (Late afternoon) and I thought there was no hope in getting it looked at until at least tomorrow. They were very polite over the phone and mentioned to bring it by right away. They realized how important it was that we get this van back on the road for business so they stayed after hours until it was fixed. Wow! Now that is customer service! Their price was very fair as well. I am so impressed by this and we will now be using them for all of our auto repair/maintenance needs. Thank you so much for your care and quick service!

The best mechanic in the sea to sky ! I had many troubles with different cars and Fred was always able to figure it out, small weldings and little things! I was told in body shop in Vancouver that we are not able to install hitch due to screws that hold bumper. 5 different shops looked at it and said no way, he fixed it ! I will never go anywhere else ! Thanks a lot guys
