We got Bean Curd Skin Roll w/ Pork in Oyster Sauce, Steamed Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai, Steamed Spareribs Rice Noodle Roll and Pan Fried Lotus Cake w/ Preserved Meat. Bean Curd Skin Roll was PERFECT, it came in 3 pieces, loaded with Pork, Mixed Veg, the Sauce was delicious as well! The Siu Mai came in 4 pieces, they were HUGE, loaded with Pork and Shrimps! Steamed Spareribs Rice Noodle Roll was quite special, it had silky smooth Rice Noodle Roll, topped with tender, flavourful Spareribs, we totally recommend this! Pan Fried Lotus Cake came in 3 pieces of shredded Lotus Root and Pork Patties, though it wasn’t golden fried enough, still quite a tasty dish! Overall, this spot offers some really affordable Dimsum, despite it not being grand or fancy like other Dimsum spots, we still enjoyed the meal a lot!
Terrible rude service from the main male server with glasses. At the end of the meal, they served dessert which was mung bean with seaweed. One of our dinnermates could not eat this dessert, so we asked the server if there were other desserts available. In Cantonese, the word "dessert" is called "sweet water" tong shui. The server responded to our question, "Yes, sugar and water." What an insulting rude reply! Never coming back. Chicken dish was good. Lobster e fu noodles was fair -- e fu noodles tasted semi sweet. The other two dishes bok choy with mushrooms and braised grouper with bittermelon. The grouper dish was not good. The grouper was very fishy and did not taste fresh.
It’s a restaurant with history and you feel like you’re back to 90s. Foods are fine but not impressive. One of the dish is cold and services need improvement.
Dimsum was good. My kids love the Siu Mai. They are large and tasty. The duck and lobster was also very good. Service was a tad slow and could improve. We used to go to two other restaurants but they closed down and now this is the regular dimsum place for us.
Paid 45 dollars on three dishes as take out.. it was good on the chicken but it is just so so on the rest.. Is it worth to order this three dishes take out? no soup, no rice..
This place has been at the corner of Midland and Mcnicoll for many years. Its a place I've been going to for a while and the food is fresh with decent prices compared to other dim sum places in Scarborough. I will continue to come here for my dim sum cravings.
the dim sum freshly made, steam hot and delicious. price very reasonable. this place has been here long, they deserve better business but competition just too strong.Food: 5/5
The same old place. The dim sum service stop at 3. Promotion at all times four something for every dim sum except SP. quite good but never go too late or they turned dried or turned. Their washroom are at the basement. For those who are handicapped have to visit the public toilet at the mall. They do sometime got only one waitress serving. I have once having dinner with them but the seafood are over cooked. Since then never have seafood from them.
Was there for a weekday dinner. The menu offered the typical selection of Cantonese dishes. A male server near the end of our meal was disrespectful to my wife when she inquired if there was an alternative to the complementary dessert. Instead of simply saying there was no other options available, he said we can offer you a glass of sugar with water instead. Very rude and left a foul taste in our mouths as we left the restaurant. Even though the food wasn't terrible, we won't be coming back again.
The food was very good everything was fresh service was good.Would have given 5 stars but didn't find out until after the meal that this place is cash only a sign at the front door would have been nice.
