I can usually find what I need. But the Fanta was "out of stock" ...they just didn't carry this. A bit disappointed. Major Mackenzie in R. Hill does have "Everything"... equilibrium of ethic items. If this is the only item on your list I would check before going as it is popular. The store here on Markham Rd...it's clean but their selection is based on the community of Ethics. So choices are "limited" next to being Non-existent. The staff may work but don't know thier food items Just a basic "Lamb Shank" , "Beef Tendons" or Black Bean "Paste" ...I was directed to Black beans in a bag. Not personal but I do believe grocery stores should stock relatively the same items so there is no disappointment from one Food Basic to the other. "FOOD BASICS"

I haven't been to a Food Basics in a long time and I was pleasantly surprised. Competitive prices, clean and well organized, and friendly staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this location to fellow shoppers. September 2022 updates - the place is still very clean, well stocked and competitively priced.

Mar 2021: A decent grocery store selling a large range of products. With this area having a more mix ethnicity, the store has adapted to bringing more culturally diverse foods. Store also has self checkouts at the exit. 2018: Good and clean. Quite deep and had lots of selection.

This has happened at this location several times before. Went in on the start of the flyer specials Thursday's only to find again, delivery expected later. Why not order product the day before so at least it's in the house. Store manager is USELESS.

Nice food at reasonable price. I love their baked rice with pork chop in tomato sauce.

Always come to this location because it's so convenient with a Dollarama next to it The price is so good and convenience with almost things I can think of. They also accept price matching, and they have a lot of great deals.

Pretty disappointing location. I’ve come here multiple times when they’ve advertised items in the flyer but they never carry those items in store. Plus the staff here tend to be pretty rude as well. Better drive somewhere else

Good place for shopping, very clean and they are one of the few places where I see someone actively, consistently cleaning high touch surfaces. So that's really quite reassuring. Helpful staff! Update: They have self serve check-outs, 5 or 6, and the attendant is pretty good with helping out. Update Sept 2022: A very nice place to shop even on the weekend. Friendly and helpful staff.

That was the first and the last time I am shopping at this location! They put the only one and retired cashier and it took her forever to scan all the items. She can barely stand on her feet and didn't know how to scan the gift cards. Next person in line was concerned and it was disappointed experience for all.
