We stopped in to get a photo of the CCC Worker statue. We had to pay for admission to do that and we had the time, so we spent it touring the house and grounds. The tour of the house is very interesting and the tour guide was very friendly. The rest of the grounds had some very interesting stuff, too. Fond du Lac's attic!
I know they aren't open right now, but we have seen some of it from the roadside and it looks amazing. My husband and I are new to Wisconsin and hope that someday we will be able to enjoy more as we both love historical places. If we don't get the chance, then know we have heard many fun and interesting stories from the people that have visited and that's what made us want to see the Galloway House.
Always love it here. The house is meticulously upkept and is always interesting to view. They have many events that run on the grounds of the Galloway House and Village, like the Haunted House and Ice Cream Social. It is a very interesting place with rich historical roots. One of the few interesting things to do in Fond du Lac.
Coolest little village.
Wanted to bring my family this weekend saturday and its closed. Would have really liked to see it.
