Went to focus west about a month ago as I wanted my eye pressure checked after i was having some issues for a bit and I work in the area. I had never been to them before and they were aware i was only coming for that one thing - they treated me like I was a regular! Dr. Julie was so thorough with examining my eyes, gentle and kind. I will definitely be coming back and making focus west my new clinic.
I've been going to Focus West for 6 years but I think they must have changed labs recently. I had to wait 2 weeks for a clear non-prescription lens after cataract surgery in one eye. After my wife dropped my glasses off on a Thursday to get the lens put in they didnt't have them back the next day as promised. And finally, since they are only open until 4:30 on Monday I have to wait until Tuesday to pick up my glasses and have them adjusted. So what should have been a 3 day process has now turned into a 3 week process. This ends my relationship with Focus West. Service does matter. And they weren't particularly inexpensive either.
The exam was easy and pleasant. The optometrist was thorough in her questions about my ongoing eye issues and even offered new suggestions for treatment, going out of her way to be helpful. While my prescription had changed ever so slightly, they could have recommended new lenses but assessed my current ones were fine for now yay for saving money!. The optometrist assistant checked my other glasses for fit while I was there and adjusted them to better fit my head/face. All in all, an excellent experience.
This was definitely the best experience when it comes to eye exam. Doctor was super patient and knowledgeable, willing to answer to all my questions, took time to exam my vision properly with no rush! I have no words to be good enough to explain how helpful the staff was with helping me to choose perfect frames that fit me the best. Especially nowadays when every single frame that was tried has to be disinfected again, the lady didn't hesitate to offer me minimum 20 different styles so I can be sure which ones are the "one"! Highly recommend!
Excellent examination by Dr. Gaume. He is very professional and focussed on what is best for his patients. His staff are super attentive and very helpful. It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. My husband and I are so happy we went to Focus West!
my appointment was in April, so it has been almost year but I waited to review I did purchase new glasses at the appointment, but I am very disappointed with them. I have not been able to wear them, any longer then a few hours and I am dizzy and nauseas and extreme headaches. I was not able to adjust to the new glasses which is why I waited so long to review incase I did I end up wearing my old glasses, I do not have coverage, So I am very upset with the loss of money the exam it's was also very very quick, which might have affect the accuracy of the prescription , the doctor was polite which is why I trusted them. I would not go back or recommend
I got a real sense of genuine care for the patient and integrity both times I've had full eye exams here. Dr Gaume and the staff are great. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for an optometrist!
Booking the appointment was super easy. Staff were friendly, inviting and informative. They took note of my husband's sensitive eyes and did as much as they could to ensure the exam went smoothly. Dr. Julie was by far one of the best I've had, and was super friendly in updating my prescription. Clean, open, bright store with nice selection of frames.
Great place to get your eye exam and new pair of glasses. Friendly service and very professional. Would recommend this place 100%!
I went to the Visions West Hills yesterday evening to pick up a fire TV stick and I asked the employee three times if I have to pay for everything else besides buying the stick or is everything free he told me to open up a Google account and I don't have to pay for anything else and I asked him three times because I knew nothing about this pic. Well it looks like I have to pay for services but I get the apps for free. I called Visions this morning and the gentleman told me that I was absurd to think that any customer would think that you would get the services for free. I would bypass this electronics store and go somewhere where your respected as a customer
