For almost 30 years, the Glenmore Landing Vision Center has been providing good old fashioned service and eyewear that sets you apart from the crowd.

Story

At the Glenmore Landing Vision Center our mission is to provide each patient with a memorable office experience and to provide vision care that exceeds their expectations. We accomplish this by assessing all aspects of vision, using new technology, and by providing quality eye wear in a fun and comfortable atmosphere. Our team of Doctors, Dr. Richard Nielson, Dr. Asim Prasad, Dr. Anne-Michele Larocque, Dr. Rahim Rhemtulla and Dr. Matthew Craig along with our team of educated and licensed staff members, strive to offer each patient the best vision solution for each of their personal vision needs. Our in office dispensary houses over 1000 eyeglass and sunglass frame. We also have a contact lens center and on site edging lab which enables many prescriptions to be ready in about one hour.

A+ Experience! I made an appointment here and wasn't sure what to expect, as it was only my second trip to get glasses in my lifetime. Every teammate contributed to the experience and I was truly happy with how I was treated with respect. My expectations on pricing was that I would have to spend an arm and a leg to get something to not only function properly but to look aesthetically pleasing. I expressed my concers and what I was looking for, and no one batted an eye, presented options and even had lenses on site. My new glasses were ready in a hour and I couldn't be happier with them! They're comfortable, look fantastic lots of compliments, and its amazing to see everything now in HD and did not break my bank. This is definitely my go-to place for additional frames and sunglasses from now on. Thank you everyone, you made my day and a big self esteem boost!
DEB WAS CLUTCH! Lost my glasses over the weekend on a photo expedition and was in dire need of a new pair so I could function properly in society. I went to 5 different places and they each told me that it would take 2 weeks to get my lenses made. BUT NOT DEB! She told me it would take roughly a week to get them made. I was already sold at that point. Not more than 48 hours later I received a call letting me know my glasses were done! Thank you Deb and the team at Glenmore Landing Vision Center for helping me not bump into things when I walk around My Dad thanks you too for not having to drive me around for 2 weeks.
My issue is with the glasses I purchased … I bought new glasses on sale … the frames subsequently caused pressure points … I continued to bring them in for adjustments but the pain from them continued. After reaching out to manufacturer Glenmore Vision contacted me. The solution was to offer me another pair of glasses which were twice as much as the ones bought on sale. I’ve never bought any frames here as prices usually too high and after my experience I definitely won’t again. I’ve had my eye exams here for a long time and always had a positive experience but will not be buying glasses here.
I had my annual eye exam appointment yesterday with Dr. Prasad and Co. He always takes the time to chat with me, and answers all my questions thoroughly and with good humour! I decided to check out some new frames while I was there. Deborah spent about a half an hour "shopping" with me as I tried various frames, wild and otherwise. We found the perfect pair, and the whole of the front office staff joined in to comment on my two preferences and cheered me on in my final choice. Altogether, it was an enjoyable experience. I left feeling so appreciative!
I chose this place to buy my glasses because I found a groupon coupon. It was a great choice as all of the women working here are incredibly helpful and friendly. I had a lot of help selecting the best frame and fit for my face for which I am very grateful, as well as a breakdown on prices and advice on choosing the best lenses for me. They offer single vision digital lenses which I’m very excited about. Plus a two year anti scratch warranty. I would highly recommend buying your glasses here.
Last summer I was out on my motorcycle when my lens popped out on my prescription glasses. I managed to hold onto all the pieces, as it was I was in Glenmore Landing at the time. I walked in to GL Vision Center and ask one of the girls there if they could help me. She took my glasses into the back and after about 20 minutes returned my glasses to me professionally fixed and cleaner then I thought ever possible as my glasses were 2 years old and subject to my motorcycle riding. She did an amazing job. She gave me my glasses and simply said here you go and have a wonderful day! I was amazed. It was because of the great service I received last summer that I of course returned to them when it came time for new glasses and my eye exam. a couple weeks ago I returned to them to get my eyes tested and to order a new pair of glasses. Needless to say once again they were all wonderful. I found the staff friendly and professional and personable. I have since received my new glasses and everything is perfect. what more can I say ... Great people, great product and great service. It's nice to walk out of a business feeling like a respected human being and not just another customer. My sincere thanks for an wonderful experience. Honestly, I’ve been letdown the last couple years with the customer service at the front desk. As a younger patron, it seems my business is not taken as seriously. Yesterday when I went in to buy a 6 month supply of contacts, it took several awkward seconds to be approached by the receptionist in front of me, even after I said hello. This isn’t the first time I’ve left feeling upset with the customer service of some of the receptionist at this business. I may recommend greeting new people in the business, as they walk in. It is a simple gesture that goes a long way. It is unfortunate, after being a customer to this local business for over 20 years to be left with this impersonal feeling.
I visited Glenmore Landing Vision Centre first one year ago and had a great experience. Great and thorough optometrist, fantastic staff who was very helpful in helping me find the right frames and lenses. Unfortunately my second visit was a very different experience. Again, the optometrist was very friendly and thorough. But the staff person at the front was anything but friendly and needs a serious attitude adjustment. She would not answer my questions, and became very condescending when I questioned the price of the new lenses compared to what I had paid last year. "Well, I can give you the price of the bottom of the totem pole line" was her short response. I decided not to purchase new lenses and asked whether she could please adjust my existing glasses as they felt a bit loose. I was not even offered a seat while waiting for my glasses to be adjusted and truly felt that I was not welcome there. Amongst the 2 pairs of frames and lenses I purchased from Glenmore Landing Vision Centre, I also had a third pair of glasses with me which I had previously purchased at a different location. I was curious to find out what strength the lenses were and found that this did not seem worth their time or part of their duties. They clearly did not want to have anything to do with those glasses. I will not return to Glenmore Landing Vision Centre. R.L.
The office was busy when I arrived, but I waited no time at all to have the tests and see Dr. Craig. The examination was very thorough, all the latest technology available, and the Doctor was friendly and patient. He took his time explaining the best options for me in a professional way. I was able to view the scans and I felt assured that I was getting the best possible attention. When choosing my glasses I had wonderful advice and help from Betty. What a kind and warm person. They have a huge selection of fashionable options, but she was able to help me narrow down my choice. Lots of lens options available and I was happy with the value for money. I would recommend this clinic for their friendly attention, expertise, up to date technologies, fabulous selection of frames to choose from and the deals they offer.
