Flapjacks

The food was good value for the price in terms of taste and portions. The server was excellent, patient, attentive and polite. I had the Steak Benedict sub fruit for tomato which was nice. Solid four stars because the food was good, not amazing or over the top like some other breakfast places I have been to for the same price. Five stars for the server alone. I definitely would recommend for the Barrie area if you are looking for good value in a nice experience.

Best coffee and gluten free breakfast - fast friendly and fresh! The gf bread and jam are homemade and delicious!

Honestly, if I can do half a star I would... I wouldn't go back. The server didn't check up on us I had to ask for ketchup, and napkins. I'm dairy intolerant and they put butter on my toast knowing I can't have dairy as I asked her for almond milk because I can't have dairy. You can taste they don't change their oil. The food wasn't great. I ordered the express and had a few bites didn't like it. You can taste the grease so much.. it made my boyfriend and I have an upset stomach. The only thing that was good was their home made jam.

The home fries tasted and felt old, cooked several hours beforehand. The hollandaise sauce did not taste very good, and had the consistency of being refrigerated for a couple days. I got the wrong order, but the server was the saving grace in this review. She quickly fixed the mistake. so thank you.

My sister and I have been to Flapjacks a couple of times now, once in the summer and once in the winter. Each time we got standard breakfast fare an omelette, eggs and bacon, etc.. The price was very reasonable, and they didn't skimp on the portions either! Food was delicious.

We really enjoy this restaurant. Great service, food plenty enough and prices. Lots of smiles. Always clean. One thing I would love to see added to their menu is Baked Beans for we non-meat eaters. Keep up the greatness.

The food was so good, eggs benedict with spinach and mozza had the perfect consistency. The junior lumberjack was the perfect size and everything in it was super tasty. I’m wondering if their strawberry jam is homemade because MAN that tasted good and fresh. Can’t wait to be able to to in! We did curb-side pick up as this is during the third wave of the pandemic

It is very close to our house so we were excited when they first opened. They started out great with fast, friendly service and a decent breakfast for the price. Over the last 6 months we have noticed a lot of change in employees and the quality has dipped quite a bit. Portion size is not what it was and we are getting cold potatoes most of the time.

service very slow Skip the Dishes seems to get more attention than customers in your restaurant. Drank a full coffee, and sat with empty cup at least 10 minutes before offer of another was offerd, still no food, Customers who can in at least twenty minutes after us we served at same time as us. Will not return BAD service. .

After reading all the great reviews, I decided to try this place. I did not have a great experience. The home fries were microwaved. Still half cold. Too hard, old. I couldn't eat them even with ketchup. The sandwich was hot, but there was a hair in it. Now, i am not THAT picky but i found another hair. I couldn't finish after that. My partner had soup, it was terrible. Worst soup they've ever had. 20 minutes later we arrived home and my partner was very ill and vomitted multiple times. They spent the rest of the day in bed. I would not suggest this place. The prices are ridiculous for the quality of food. There are much better places to eat in Barrie for the same price or cheaper. If its between this place and staying at home; stay at home. I feel bad having to write such an awful review, but i have to be honest.
