Fishman Wharf Seafood

We entered the restaurant when it was empty and they sat us at a table next to a thermostat that would beep every 5 minutes. Already a bit annoyed, we then tried to order 3 or 4 different items on their menu but they were all out of stock. After a while, we finally managed to find something we wanted and that they could serve. The food started great, I really enjoyed the soup. But then, the next few dishes were just deep fried and the flavours were lacking. The rib and the oyster moreover tasted a bit off, especially the oyster, it didn't taste right for me. Furthermore, through out the meal, some waiters would just be on their phone or eating behind the counter which was a bit special. I do have to give credits to some of the other waiters who were really professional and efficient. One of them noticed when I dropped my chopsticks by accident and instantly brought a pair for change. Then again, they weren't really welcoming nor friendly. The presentation is a bit different and doesn't make the food look too appealing except the fried rice and the lobster that was more intriguing and enjoyable. All the oil from the food definitely made me feel a bit unwell after a couple of bites. Finally, the prices are certainly not cheap but the portions are rather large which makes up for it. I don't know if it was because we ordered the wrong items or if it was an off day, but I hope I will get to enjoy a better experience the next time I try eating here again.

This was quite the experience! My wife and I had been wanting to go here since we first saw it on one of the many YouTube food channels Strictly Dumpling for the win!. It did not disappoint. They showed us the lobster that we would consume before it hit the pot. I definitely suggest going with at least a minimum of 5 people as it’s fairly large portions and it’ll help share the load of the costly meal but the experience is worth it!

If your in Markham and are looking to have some king crab, this restaurant probably came as the first recommended on google. Like many have complained, expect to pay more then the price that is advertised as the king crabs usually always way more then the 6 lbs on the menu. Price aside, the seafood is very good and the lobster with maggie sauce is a great dish and a must try if your there. The service was also good, as expected. I do recommend calling ahead and reserving as the place does get packed.

Ordered the $258 dinner set to celebrate Father's Day. Great food! The lobster is the restaurant's signature dish and can never go wrong. The other dishes are delicious as well and food are delivered in a timely manner. Will definitely come back again!

Set dinner for 8 people: Alaskan King Crab Lobster Fried Rice Snow Pea Leaves Dessert Ended my birthday week celebration here! It's been such a long time since I came, probably at least 5 years and when the restaurant had a previous location. This was the one meal I actually was craving the most the food quality is still amazing and generous portions what surprised me was that the dessert included was actually macaroons

We have never been here before but drove by many times over the years. Decided to take my picky mother here for her birthday and she was happy overall! All dishes were good except for the oysters and the eel. The oyaters were very hard and we had trouble chewing it. My mom only ate half because she thought it might break her dentures. The eel were tiny slivers and didn't have many pieces. All other dishes were very good especially the lobster.

Food was awesome. You buy as a SET not individually. My favorite was the king lobster. The best was the service at this location. I recommend this place for anyone who is from out of town to come here to eat. A lot of food for a well priced dinner for 8.

Amazing seafood, food, service, and set prices. The 5 of us kept on raving about the food the whole time and comparing how wonderful everything was vs. the typical Chinese seafood restaurants are in NYC. This is what I drive 8 hours for! Highly recommended!

Amazing good, great service. Quite pricey but worth the money. The seafood is presented so beautifully and tastes just as phenomenal. Again, it is very very pricey but really really delicious

There are two private dining rooms, where PEOPLE ARE SMOKING CIGARETTES INSIDE. We had to be reseated because even the staff realized the second-hand smoke was unbearable. The quality of this place has truly decreased while the prices have increased. We ordered a lobster combo and 70% of it is just fried bits. Honestly, you're better off going to Congee Queen for their side dishes LOL
