Me and my extended family have visited here many times over the years for both Dim Sum and dinner. I have read that many have experienced poor or a low level of service which impacted their experiences unfortunately. The food is very good and consistent. But I can understand how poor service can be a let down after the fact. From my experiences here, the service level has been good. Not great mind you, but good overall. It may and I must highlight "May", because my family usually reserves one of the private rooms Party of 10-12+ . In fact, their party rooms are usually booked for large family gatherings or for special occasions etc. From the namesake of this restaurant, you can guess that seafood is their speciality period. And they do not disappoint. The fresh lobster, the shelter crab, the oysters in hot pot, the fresh fish etc. All of their dishes are exceptional. Their dim sum is just as good as well. The restaurant is usually packed on the weekends which shows you that they have a loyal return customers. All in all, I have had positive experiences here over the years. Please drop in if you are in the area and give them a try and then let us all know what your thoughts are. Happy eats everyone.
The interior is nicely decorated with spacious seating. Food was super tasty and cooked well, my favourites were their seafood chow mein and sweet and sour pork! Service was friendly but a bit disorganized. All in all a good experience.
We come here relatively often, setting is nice, parking is often difficult. Portion sizes are decent, not large by any means but not small either. Staff are generally helpful and responsive to your requests but because the location is really busy, you'll have to request for anything you need as it will not come on its own. Food tastes good and the overall presentation and dining experience is pretty solid here. The only negative is that it's fairly expensive for the amount of food you get, even if you order a lot for a decent sized party, there generally will not be enough to pack anything for home as you would at other Chinese cuisine locations.
Good spot for solid dim sum without the crazy weekend crowds. Otherwise for a seafood dinner, do try to make a reservation. Their seafood is fresh and other dishes are very good with "wok hay", the smokey wok flavour that's essential to good Cantonese cooking. The dim sum alway comes hot. The clay pot rice has particularly good value since it's a large portion. For regular dishes, the sweet and sour pork is a favourite and they use fresh pineapple and serve it to you too!
Great place for pricy large shell fish to enjoy with friends. This particular place is not large, as would be expected, but roomy enough to accommodate large groups of coworkers. Typical asian banquet food, tasty and very visual appealing. Dish size portion is a bit smaller, as expected, to match the size of most of its tables. Free parking area is very limited, in shopping like strip mall.
Came here for lunch after busy peek hours during the weekday. You have your typical dim sum crowd with retirees having a great time. The place is very clean and service is good. This place you order from a card and everything comes out fresh. Portions are normal and same with prices. The bill was about $20 for 4 items which you can see from my photos. I like the taste of all the dishes and was very traditional style. No fusion dim sum. They weren't in a rush to kick us out after we finished. Parking can be a bit limited though.
We were hosted by a loving family who chose our menu. The lobster was the best I've ever had- fresh, sweet, sashimi, and then other parts were baked. Every dish was flavorful and beautiful to look at. A spectacular experience.
Family and I have had dim sum and dinner here many times and the quality is always AMAZING. Some of the best traditional Cantonese style dishes you will find in Scarborough markham. We ordered the stir fried pumpkin and mushrooms and the chicken clay pot bowl with black fungus. Deep rich flavors.
Overall the food was solid. Service was non-existent, just really bad even by Asian standard. We ordered three dishes, and it took them over 30 minutes to arrive. The lady at the counter was walking around and talking without a mask still mandated at the time. I didn’t appreciate that. Overall the meal was enjoyable but frankly there are much better places around the area.
Aesthetics of the plates was really pretty - food was tasty too compared to the BC Chinese restaurants.
