Far North CB Radios Plus

I'm not sure what this store is trying to be to the community. I'm not even sure it's a viable business. That's a real shame, because I'll pay a little more to promote the locals. As the name suggests, inside you will find a smattering of CB radios and accessories, along with some MFJ ham radio-related items, extraordinarily expensive batteries, as well as a few each of consumer gadgets, audio and networking bits, and so forth. As for basic parts like connectors electronic components, forget about it. The drawers of the cabinet are half-empty, and much of which is inside was inherited from the previous Radio Shack. You will be sternly warned at checkout RS-branded items are non-refundable. I realize it takes a lot of cash to maintain stock, but there comes a point where, if the inventory drops below a certain threshold, customers just won't bother to come in. That's seems to be where this business is. After several failed attempts recently to buy the most basic of items, I now have given up, and my friends have, too. Pity, but it does not meet our needs.

Good selection but Very over priced. The owner basically told me well support local business. Normally I love too and am willing to pay a bit more. However, this place is almost double the price I can get online.

So sad to see another locally owned electronics store close. Sorry too that the gentleman that served us was so sullen. Not the service I had come to expect...even though things are sorrowful

A pretty small, sparse store, but it has helped me. It is the only place I know of to get certain small electronic components/supplies in Fairbanks.

Amazing store. Even if there electronic section decreased in size since they aren't RadioShack anymore.

Terrible place. Staff tried to up charge us for simple wires? Probably will lose all business to amazon

Needs to upgrade there product line and would be great if they had a tech. There for service and advice,of there products.

One star for the guy who wouldn't let my two year old use the bathroom.

Store is closed on Saturday according to sign - no one was there either

Limited inventory with high prices.
