Story

Established in 2009 Fairfield Cheese Company is a collaboration between longtime Fairfield residents, Chris Palumbo and Laura Downey. Fairfield Cheese Company has been named "Best Cheese Selection in CT" by Connecticut Magazine for 2011 & 2012 and was recently mentioned by cheese expert Laura Werlin, on Food & Wine Magazine's website, as a top five place to buy cheese in the US.

Good cheese selection, both local & international. Delicious grilled cheese with tomato/rosemary ham. A little expensive, but within the price range of other fine cheese venues

Stopped into the shop for something else, then began talking with a young women at the counter and walked out with Taleggio Tartu, delicious. Great helpful staff. I will be back.

They are very knowledgeable about cheese and can help you find ones that you will like. Great variety in the store. It gets very busy during the holidays and it is much easier ordering a platter through their website ahead of time. Prices are a bit high but the quality is there. We get things from them regularly and enjoy trying new cheeses.

Such a fun thing to do to go and taste different cheeses to make a selection. Staff is friendly and ridiculously knowledgeable fit recommendations.
