Evergreen Resort

My family has been going to Evergreen for over 40 years. We go in order to get the family together almost 30 of us, but the resort has been steadily making changes that aren’t all positive. * The cabins are okay and they’ve always been that way * The food is good, especially breakfast and lunch dinners are okay * There used to be many activities, but the coordination has faded away and that was pre-covid * They lopped off a meal pre-covid and then during covid, cut out another full day * Since covid, they cut out daily maid service and it doesn’t appear to be returning * Net result is we are paying more now for 5.66 days 17 meals than we used to pay for a full 7-day week 21 meals with maid service and more activities - we can seriously fly down to the Caribbean for an all-inclusive resort a full week! for less I am very disappointed in where the resort is at and we are looking for alternatives for our annual family vacation.

This is buffet style $35 plate, seconds available while it lasts. Food was okay, nothing special, we had steak & chicken night, potatoes, salad water coffee tea. No wine no liquor license. They really need to purchase new dishwashers, the dinnerware, glasses & silverware were really rather disgusting, and after all the COVID i think way more attention to this would be smart. The whole experience was about a 3. Would i recommend to others NO, will i return NO.

Their key cards de-magnetize all the time if it comes into contact with seemingly anything that also needs to be kept within one's pockets. For that reason, I got locked out of my cabin for a night since there is no 24 hours support if such an issue occurs after the shop closes. I was lucky I had friends who had a spare bed but this shouldn't ever be a problem. There needs to be a number someone can call 24 hours and receive an answer for this or other potential resort-specific emergencies that only a staff member can resolve. Service at the tables was bad this year with often waiting seemingly 15-20 minutes before even being acknowledged by our server while they were already getting 2nd servings for their other tables. We had to stand up and wave for service. Understaffing seems to be the main issue there. I absolutely love this place and plan to return even with all of its other underwhelming elements, the family environment is amazing, but there is a need for certain key aspects to be put in place that is expected of an all-inclusive resort.

We cane here again this year post COVID. Some minor changes overall but mostly very much the same. Classic Lodge and camping. Food is good but this place is all about relaxing. The hot tub is blazing hot and they kept everything the same for over 30+ years. Bring your kids here, you will love it.

This place is perfect for families. Shallow waters which means it was WARM! And safe for the kids. Our cottage was also next to the playground so we can just sit in the front porch and see the kids whether they are at the beach or at the playground. The owners are very nice and accomodating!Rooms: 4/5

Very nice, clean, food was incredible. Only main reason it's not a 5 stars was because I feel like there's some definite upkeep needed in places like the mini put, tennis and basketball courts. They are still play able but could use some love and care. You are able to rent boats for a few hours which is perfect too. I'd definitely go again.
