WARNING: My car had items stolen from it here.nnI have only ever parked here once. I had items STOLEN from my car. Luckily nothing of great value/significance: a couple of energy drinks, my gym shoes, a hoodie. They left a bunch of electronics that would have been fairly easy to grab. Oddly enough they left a 12v to outlet adapter, charging cable, and LED light puck. I guess this was a trade? They also left my change or just didn't find it. I am guessing it was a homeless person given they took clothing/drinks. I'm just glad I didn't have more clothes with me as I already don't have a lot as it is. A small part of me hopes that what they took serves them well, but I am upset about the breach in privacy. Not even going to bother filing a report as the thief will never be caught.nMy car has auto door locks and this must have been about the only time they didn't engage. 90% of the time they've locked again after I've unlocked the doors while walking up to the car...Either way I will be more careful with my doors going forward. Obviously this is not a great area if you can't even leave a car there for less than 12 hours without having items stolen from it. I am never leaving my car at this lot again. I am not from Barrie, I was meeting someone there. Is this just typical of all of Barrie?
Easy to find a spot, was easy to pick a spot to meet. Did notice sign for upcoming construction when this would be closed. Missed noting dates
Good spot to sight see if your into watching junkies do their thing, nice and clean parking lot and very smooth to drive into as well. If you're looking to get robbed or your car stolen look no further
Left a vehicle overnight and when returned in the morning the front license plate was taken off. Luckily they weren't able to take off the back license plate and had left the other plate on the ground. Must have occurred overnight. Thankfully nothing else was stolen.
Awesome carpool lot that is extremely convenient to get to! Right off Essa road in Barrie - just moments away from highway 400 - and a gas station and a Tim Hortons! Very good!
