Always a busy high-stress place in 2024, it has all anyone needs within walking distance before catching a bus. Two convenience stores and a McDonalds two minutes away.nnIn the heart of downtown, it's a 50/50 mix of working, studying or retired travelers and an easily visible number of street people. The security guards are good and helpful folks and so is the staff. Good place to warm up, hit the water fountain and use a washroom. Sticklers about cigarette smoking, you have to step off property to smoke pretty much every time.nnThe shoreline is a stones throw south across Simcoe Street and you can walk the nice shoreline while you wait for a bus, using the 50 foot Spirit Catcher statue as your navigation landmark.nnNice greenish water in the bay. Nice spots to sit. Just super busy 24-7.
Very bad service given by the driver especially in 8A and 8BnThey always delay the buses and even don't stop and sometime they stop for a long period of timenIn today's mrng one of the driver even don't on the heat inside the bus and there is tooo cold at outside. And then he stop 20 mint at one station to eat something . That bus is also 8A and mrng 7;30 route start from gloria street. Government have responsibility to improve the transportation facility.
I was standing at the bus stand and waiting for 101 blue at the stop Bayfield at coulter. Me and my friend was waiting from last 30 min for bus at 4:10pm. When bus came the driver didn’t stop the bus. The driver was racist. Terrible experience every and forever
Today on 15 October I took a 5:11 pm bus 8B from barrie view drive the Mapleview drive one. We were all on boarded n bus locked the doors but there was a white man arriving n he knocked the bus door.so driver was kind enough n he opened the doors n let the man in. Right the next minute he closed the doors. Again a black man arrived n he knocked the door n signal was not even green yet the driver didn’t opened the door and denied him to on board him. The black man was still standing on the bus stop yet the driver denied to open the doors? The driver was still for 2-3 minutes and ignored the black man. The driver had a long beard n wore a black color glass too. After we reached the go station driver yelled at someone saying not to play any kind of music on loud speaker. However, i was in the same bus but didn’t heard anyone playing it or if there was even a loud music in the bus. He was extremely rude n arrogant.
Considering how terrible the transit schedule is you'd at least hope they would have decent drivers. 90% if the drivers are rude, miserable, arrogant people. They need a serious attitude adjustment and I am far from the only person who feels this way. I've witnessed them belittle and straight up yell at people for no reason.
