Emulsify – the Oil & Vinegar Experience, located in the heart of Wellington Village, Ottawa, Ontario was founded in 2012 by Chris DeRuiter and Jesseka Blom. The venture marries two of their passions into one – Entrepreneurship and Culinary Arts!

The two came across a similar concept while vacationing in the US. It was love at first slurp! After exiting the store a few pence poorer and several bottles richer, the chit chat over that evening’s salad dressing revolved around “Why don’t we open one of these types of shopping experiences back home?”. The rest as they say is history…

Emulsify is an up-close and personal shopping experience – after all, it is in fact a Tasting Bar! Nearly every single product is available for sampling. Its the ultimate “foodie” paradise – for creative chefs and professional tasters alike.

Spending time in Emulsify is an interactive palate-surfing ride from sweet and sour to bodacious and spicy. You’ll find yourself concocting “perfect pairings” or imagining how this would taste on that. Thankfully, we provide all clients with a shopping list to keep track of your growing wish list. We even provide unique recipes you can take home with you based on your purchases.
