Called 2 days ahead of time and asked for a fresh turkey. Was told I didn't need to reserve because they had lots only to show up and be told they only had frozen turkeys. I'd heard good things about Saslove's, but this was a big miss.

Duck skewers ended up being just bacon skewers with a pathetic piece of duck in the middle the size of my finger nail. Maple blueberry sausages had no real maple or blueberry flavor, just salt. Burgers come wrapped in a needless slice of plastic. I loved this place 3 years ago but my recent visit was beyond disappointing Edit: Sorry meant duck not Turkey skewers

The best butcher shop I've been to. They have friendly staff, great customer service, and absolutely the best marinated steak, and chicken. They also have a great variety of sausage, bacon the double smoked is my favorite, bison, duck, rabbit.....If you live in or around the market definitely give them a try. I believe that even if you had a bit of a drive to get there still very much worth the trip.

Best butcher shop in town. They have a wide array of product. The staff is awesome and they are always happy to answer questions. They also added online ordering with other shops in the market so you can bundle groceries and they deliver!

I love this place, have been going for years. 5 stars. Id give them 10 if the google would allow me. With that, I was curious why it isnt 5 stars across the board. When looking deeper into the salty, and the very few one star reviews, they seem to be from people complaining about pandemnic realities, and/or blaiming a butcher for government safety initiatives, or seem to be from people who dont realize what supply chain constraints have done to EVERY industry in the world. Ignore them, as the goog should have deleted them already. I recommend this place whole heartedly, and i recommend you all give them five stars as well, in support of local folks who have navigated a pandemnic on the front lines, and who have kept us all well fed throughout the last few years of difficulties

I recently ordered some meat with them. Well, the short version is I will not recommend to my friend and family. First reason, they wouldn't tell you the price when I order through the phone. They reason they give to me is they have to cut the meat to know the price. So I guess the price is depends on how much I ordered maybe. Second, they are very expensive, for example I ordered 1lb beef tenderloin and cost $37. Wow, I have no idea what kind special cut cost that much, in Costco the good one cost about $20/pound. Third, they said they will delivery it first thing this morning, and I got it around 2 pm. But they do charge me first thing in the morning. So I want to support local business. But this kind of business I would not like to support them. Since the owner respond to my review and I have no way to respond to them, I only want to say, your attitude to the customer will kill your business.

Purchased a turkey for Thanksgiving over the phone! Yes, over the phone! The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Picked up my turkey using curbside service, and again was met with outstanding customer service! I will be back and would recommend them over and over! Thank you; the turkey was a BIG hit! They also sell 100% pure liver dog treats, made in house!
