We live only an hour away from this great RV Park and just this year started making it a place to enjoy the world we live in. The elk herd is large and because this is a place they roam you are greeted with their presence almost daily. You can sit in your rig, look out your windows and enjoy them as they walk around and past you. This spring we were blessed to see a calf being born. Once you've stayed here, you'll be back. The Camp Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. This Park is a "must stay" place if you love nature.

We really enjoyed this place. The campground was nice and we had plenty of room for our 60' rig. We did not use any of the facilities here. The Elk heard was spectacular. We saw them both evenings we were here. Made for some awesome photos. I would definitely come stay here again. I can't stop thinking about our experience here. It was very special.

The only reason this campground is not getting a five star is because of the friendliness of the people in Elk County. Some people were really nice and others not so much. We had to camp last minute because of the forest fires. Great campground with free hot showers. Laundry machines also available and coin machine on site. I definitely recommend the grounds. Firewood also available to purchase.

We only stayed one night, and checked in very late, but still enjoyed our short stay. We had no issues with late check in and due to the rain they even offered us an available spot closer to the rest rooms. We decided to keep our original spot near the lake and when the rain broke in the morning we were glad we had! The scenery was amazing! We didn't see any elk during our stay, probably due to the heavy rain, but we did see the herd when we passed by the day before and they were amazing! Our only interaction with staff was when our friend realized she may have left her phone. We called and they were very nice and looked around for us (even though they have signs to remind you to make sure you have all of your belongings). The only thing that makes this a 4 star instead of a 5 from our experience was the restrooms. I can understand and forgive rust and other appearance based things with ocean so close. What's harder to understand is the lack of cleanliness and understocked toilet paper. With around 8 stalls in the women's, a few were quite dirty and all of the ones we used had almost no toilet paper on the roll with empty refills. And as much as I would have liked to "keep debris out of the restrooms" as the posted signs and rules ask, there was literally no way to do this. There was nothing to wipe your feet on and in order to get to the restroom we had to walk through the grass as the pathway was completely flooded. We felt terrible to bring in so much mess, but aside from knowing about the flooding ahead of time and bringing our own towels, there wasn't much we could do.

A must stop! So much to do do and see but honestly you can stay right in the park and have an experience of a life time. The camp host are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!
