Great place! Very quiet, peaceful, and welcoming. On the side we were at they had plenty of large trees that kept our campsite nice and cool in the sweltering July heat. Plenty of great places to see and trails to hike within an hour drive l. Would recommend this place 11/10 times t anyone looking for a place to stay in the Allegheny mountains
We had a great weekend at Trout Run cabin with our dog, Giselle Loved that its a pet friendly place. The bathrooms and showers were clean and maintained. The owners were friendly, helpful and run a great campground/cabins: We really enjoyed visiting the area and plan to stay here again!Rooms: 5/5
Great quiet campground. Super relaxing. The bathrooms are always really clean and heated. The playground was clean. They have a lot of really fun events through the year.
My only complaint is I didn't book for a longer trip! It was fantastic, people were great and the campground was beautiful! We were at Coyote Camp playground is directly across kids were quiet and respectful and had a great play set for them to have fun. The camp store had everything you could need! We took our dog and she even had a blast playing in the creek located behind the cabin. We will be back!
We stayed here on 7/30/2022 in a tent. We checked in after the store was closed, but didn't wait very long for someone to come to the office to check us in. As we were the last people in for the night, he gave us a couple of sites to choose from. We purchased a small stack of firewood which burned easily which is always a plus. We chose one site near the rest rooms, which were very nice, and appeared recently redone. We stayed her because of its proximity to Cherry Spring State Park, however we didn't leave as the views from here of the sky at night were awesome. We even saw a couple of shooting stars. We definitely would stay here again if we were taking a trip here.
We stayed in the Deer Haven cabin for 2 nights in October, and I would stay again. The area is very quiet, the owners were very friendly.
Love it here. Quiet place to explore and relax from a hectic week. Our neighbors were wonderful. Pet friendly place. Shower and bathrooms were clean and roomy. Little general store in case you forgot something. The stream that ran behind us was very relaxing. Our dogs enjoyed it. I hope to come back next year. Our hosts were wonderful. Hats off to them. They make the Campgrounds run smoothly.
Very clean and well maintained. Friendly owners. Reasonable pricing to rent clean comfortable cabins. Playground: Wooden playground available with swings, slide and climbing wall Restrooms: Recently updated, nice set up, very clean Dog-friendliness: Dogs welcome on your site and dogs welcome for a nominal fee in the cabins that are available for rent. Picnic area: Nice shelter in the middle with outside games on the lawn next to pavilion
We enjoyed our stay here. Owners are very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed the games they had available there and the big checkerboard. Only thing we would change is putting sewer hookups at each site, and a bathroom at end we stayed at. Bathroom was very far away for elderly, or even needing to use at night. Thanks for the great weekend.
This is our camping home. We would have a permanent site there, except I like to roam around. Still we try to get there at least once or twice a year. The camp owners took ownership about 4 years ago, and every time we go up, improvements had been made. Greg is always re-doing a cabin, and new campsites have been added. The bath house is always clean and the campground is always picked up. Quiet and out of the way for some. Not your major camping resort with golf courses and tennis courts and swimming pools, but a nice safe play area for the kids, and I think they even rent bicycles. All in all, it’s just right for us.
