I was really impressed with this park. I have lived in Calgary for about 25 years but never came to this park for some reason. It's right on the Bow River, has lots of picnic sites and there are fields to play sports in. I hiked the Douglas Fir Trail and it was wonderful. If you go to Edworthy Park, definitely consider trying this trail. Note: it is not an easy hike and not very safe for kids since some parts are fairly steep/slippery. P.S. - Bring bug spray for the warmer months.
This park has so much to offer! A piece of heaven here on earth! Its a delight in your sight. I would say a perfect place to have a photoshoot for special events like engagement session or a family shoot. Beautiful trees, different colours that will lift up happy emotions! Wide playground and also a touch of water element!
It nice yellowish view during fall. You can park here and ride a bike a long the bow river path to downtown. There are plenty of children playground and picnic area.
I've always loved cycling Bow River Bike Path to, thruough and back again other side again. Lots of space you play in picnic on over bridge. Public washrooms Angel's Cafe, all makes a rich experience.
This park is awesome!!!! Beautiful place, lots of things to do and explore, perfect for everyone, whether you want to hike, bike, go have a picnic, enjoy a relaxing day by yourself. Is just a perfect place for the whole family! Fav spot in the city now.
Came to this park the very first time after getting takeouts from Angel's Cafe on a warm winter day. This is a very interesting park with lots of playgrounds for children and a CP rail track right inside, which we found very cool. We saw lots of people with their dogs so it must be a great place for the dogs too. There are washrooms on site and plenty of picnic tables. It offers nice views of the Bow River. The sign in front of the bridge tells the story of Thomas Edworthy and his life arriving Calgary from Ontario. He and his wife from Nova Scotia raised his family in Calgary. It gives a nice touch on history. We will definitely come back to visit in Spring and Summer.
Nice hike on Douglas Fir trail. Not too long about 2k. Stairs with railings for steeper sections. Nice views of valley.

Its a must visit place if you are around. Especially the sunrise. You can bring your dogs to play in a vast leash free area.
