eco|stems is an environmentally and socially sustainable full service retail flower shop located in downtown Toronto.

Our award-winning designs use only local, organic, and fair trade flowers to create unique and beautiful floral arrangements that are available for delivery throughout Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

eco|stems can help with anything from weddings and events, corporate clients, sympathies and condolences to people who just want some flowers to take home or delivered to that special someone.

Throughout our operations we try to make a difference by reducing water use, reducing emissions from car use, reducing energy consumption, reusing and repurposing floral containers and materials, reducing and diverting waste and always buying used before new.

I just moved downtown and was looking for a local florist or gardening shop to help me start my indoor garden. This shop was quite close by, and I'm glad it was. The staff are friendly, knowledge, and invested in helping customers understand how to care for their plants. They have an interesting selection, with an emphasis on succulents and air plants (desert pants with no root structure that absorb moisture from the air). They also have an excellent variety of broad leaf plants good for indoors. I picked up two varieties of Pothos from them several months ago, and both are growing quite well.

Great service, loved having a pic of my floral arrangement sent to me prior to delivery.  They look beautiful!  Would definitely use eco stems in the future.

I definitely would avoid this place if I were you.  The man there was very rude and offensive. God, I wish I read the reviews before I stepped into this hole. 

Also, he lied to us about the type of soil is required for the plants. Pretty sure he doesn't know what he was talking about. Take your money and spend it elsewhere.

The service is excellent and they make beautiful arrangements. I arrived on short notice and they created a beautiful bouquet in less than 20 minutes for me. Both myself and the receiver were in awe of the arrangement!

I've shopped here about 3 times and I have not encountered this rude business owner that everyone's talking about. But I'm appalled to read the reviews so I'm hesitant to return my business. The plants I have bought have been beautiful and of quality although the prices are really high. 
On the downside, whenever I've asked for advise on plant care, the woman who works there doesn't know her plants. So, she wasn't able to provide me with any care tips. Which to me defeats the purpose of having someone who works at a shop who doesn't know their merchandise.
