Eastgate Dental Centre

Have you ever had the type of thing that was beyond your control but was terribly uncomfortable, to the point of embarrassing? Something that you were aware of everyday, when you eat, when you smile , even when you breath? Or a fear that the cure could be worse than the ailment? I have, and Dr. Rival and Staff at East Gate Dental Centre put my pain and mind at ease, resulting in a beautiful smile and a healthy happy relationship with my Dental health team! I was so apprehensive about going to the dentist after a series of health events which resulted in unhealthy teeth and gums. Let's face it, I was down right scared. That was until I got to know the staff at East Gate Dental Centre. They all took the time to explain things to me and listen to my concerns. I actually felt like I was part of the process of reconstructing my new found dental health. At East Gate Dental Centre, from reception all the way through, everyone is so friendly, professional, gentle, understanding and knowledgeable. Dr. Rival, the Dental Surgeon, is amazing! I am honoured to say that he has worked on, and continues to work on my teeth. His chair side manor is beyond comforting. Dr. Rival takes the time to explain what needs to be done, explains options and makes sure you understand what is happening and why, which is exactly how it should be. My teeth went from being an embarrassment to being one of my features I show off all of the time. I could not be happier!! Thank you East Gate Dental Centre! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dr Rival for giving me back my smile. After all, the most attractive curve on a woman is her smile. 👄

The dentist is very skilled, unfortunately the front desk staff are borderline psychotic if you dare to cancel an appointment late. I understand that there is a fee for cancelation, however there is no need for personal insults. There was no compassion and no amount of apologies were enough for this lady. She was extremely unprofessional and rude. I would not recommend going to this office if you have any mental health difficulties as you are likely to be treated poorly by their front-line workers.

I have always been aprenhensive about coming to the dentist. Right away at my 1st appt with Dr. Rival I felt comfortable relaxed and positive that he was the dentist I can trust to fix my smile. I now have a smile that I am proud of and confident of. Dr. Rival repaired 32 teeth with beautiful crowns. He's an amazing cosmetic dentist. I just want to mention that he was very attentive to my sensitive gums and his 1st priority was always making sure that I was comfortable in the chair. Susan

Surprised my colleagues with a rapid recovery from my wisdom tooth extraction - meeting with clients was possible as the swelling was unnoticeable, tolerated a purée diet only for one day, and spin class routine resumed after that one day of break. All in all excellent work by Dr. J. Tonogai and the rest of the EDC team 👍
