The best pub grub on our London visit. Great ambience, good food and great portion sizes as well.We had a kilo of chicken wings, large fish and chips and hunter's chicken. All the dishes tasted great and came with the right sides. Service was great- will recommend!
Walk 50 yards from Earls Court station and you will see, on the right hand side of the road, "The Earls Court Tavern". A traditional public house. They offer various beers, wines & spirits along with a gastro pub menu. The staff were friendly and helpful and I liked the atmosphere. Not a large establishment. It was not crowded during my visit but there was a steady stream of customers. I chose the fish & chips from the menu which I enjoyed very much. Lovely fresh fish in a crispy batter with chips, peas, tomato and a pot of tartar sauce. Very reasonable prices for this area of central London. I am sure that I will be returning many times in the future.
Some of the dishes are really tasty, but not everything. Rump Steak Skewer is 2out of 5: no test, chewy... BBQ chicken- 5 out 5. Worth to test it. Crispy Squid, Pan Fried Prawns and Sausages in Honew are Really good: Love the possibilities of mixing the plates. Spritz and beer choice is very wide. Try Pink Spritz- Wow: Best so far in my life. Thank you: And Love the English pub atmosphere.
Nice GreenKing pub in Earls Court. Had a good selection of beers, wine and spirits as well as soft drinks. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I am guessing they were expecting trouble as there were two security men on the door, three policeman eventually turned up outside and our beer was served in a plastic glass. They were also not serving any food. Maybe on a different day it would have been completely different
Go there for a great Pub experience. Cold beer, great food, and very friendly, helpful and more than attentive staff. Watched the Chelsea vs Tottenham match there - and fans of both teams had a good time there together.
Food was decent and met our expectations. One thing which was a bit odd was the bones in the fish and chips. The service was nice but could do with a bit more of a cheerful attitude but nothing major.
We visited Earls Court Tavern last week while visiting the Big Data LDN conference at Olympia. We selected the pub as the ambience appealed to us. The staff were really nice. We also had food. I ordered a shared Nachos platter and the Nachos seemed to be the lot left at the bottom of the packet, it wasn't really a shared platter as there were only a few i there and some Nachos had been left in the grill/oven for too long. I ordered a plant burger and again nothing to shout about. Its a nice place but they need to up their game with respect to the food. In summary, good place for a get together but not for food.
Came here from the States, and if we are ever back in the UK, this place will be another stop. I got the Mac and cheese with strip bacon, a sode salad, and an order of chips. The servo e was great and the food was amazing.
Good little pub conveniently placed close to Earls Court Tube station. Good menu selection with reasonably priced food served quickly. I would definitely return to this pub when I'm back in the area.
Earls Court  £6.70 Estrella A traditional Greene King Boozer. . The Earls Court Tavern is located on busy Earls Court Road in West London. The nearest Tube is Earls Court which is a few minutes amble away. This area of London used to be called Kangaroo Valley due to the amount of Aussies that settled in the area in the 50’s and 60’s. It’s not to often you’ll see a hat with cork’s dangling around here today. . There has been a pub on this corner of SW5 since the mid 19th Century. The building is impressive but I’m not a fan of this uniformed Greene King signage as I feel it takes away from the individuality of their pubs. . The decor like the outside is also Greene King uniformed and the bar is traditionally decorated. This is a good size boozer with a decent size bar. There is plenty of seating with poser tables at the front at comfy leather banquettes at the back. . The beer choice was good and included five cask ales. I decided on an Estrella which came in at £6.70, my pint was nice but come on guys, the price point is way overpriced. The food menu is full of pub grub classics, Fish & Chips costs £15.29. . I arrived not long after opening and the pub was calm and relaxed. I was served by a very nice lady behind the ramp who was all smiles, so was I until I paid! There was a family group dining at the back of the pub and a solitary drinker caressing a large glass of wine at the front. The soundtrack was chilled soulful tunes which was a nice backdrop. This pub shows live sport, there was no sport on at the TV at the time of visiting, instead I had John & Lisa’s weekend kitchen on mute, the soufflé did look good and it was a bit ironic that there was an Aussie on the box. . Overall my experience was good based on the service, beer quality and ambience. Price point is tourist trap range and for me the Green King signage needs to change. . ℹ Info correct on visiting 07.01.23
