Nice location, generous portion sizes and a decent beer selection. If you're planning on sitting at the front patio, call and book, as it was super busy when we visited. Has the nachos for starter and a tuna poke bowl for mains, both were great. My friends tried the burgers and said those were delicious too. Service was a bit slow, but given how busy they were, to be expected I guess
One of the few places remaining true to good old south heritage. Friendly unpretentious service, they treat the customer RIGHT. I've been here many times and the staff is always friendly, and the food is absolutely top notch. Their pizza is a cut above other local pizza competition. Their take out orders are on time, even if they are very busy. Customers - tip the good service well, they deserve it. Staff - thank you for taking pride in what you do. It does not go unnoticed!
Good atmosphere, good location, good drinks. 4 Friends and I ordered and unfortunately only the Buffalo chicken bites were good. Our meals were bland, not much flavour.
Dog friendly patio brought us to this location! I thought the atmosphere and food were good. I like a good meat lovers pizza and this one didn't disappoint!
Went to The Old South Village Pub for New Years eve dinner. They were able to accommodate us with no reservations which was amazing after trying a few other spots beforehand with no luck. I ordered a OSP lager which is their house beer. Pretty good and apparently brewed by Moosehead specially for them. The g.f. ordered an apple cider spritz and said it was tasty but a lot of ice. We ordered appetizers to start. I got the beet tartar which was good but also disappointing because I thought I was ordering beef tartar guess I should read better lol still good for an unexpected surprise. The g.f. ordered the potato medalians and was a big fan. We both got burgers for mains. I went with the jalapeños popper burger which was excellent. I got the fries for a side and they were delicious. Also ordered gravy on the side which was great but the portion could have been a little bigger to match the portion of the fries. The g.f. got the pub burger with cheese and Caesar salad. She enjoyed it. The service was great and the atmosphere was cozy. I would return to OSP again in the future.
Had such a lovely time visiting with my family! My aunts and uncles all got a fish and chips with haddock that was cooked well and a great portion! I tried accidentally the watermelon pizza after a mix up on the order. The watermelon pizza was refreshing and delicious and they still made me the prosciutto and peach pizza what I had originally intended on! The service was super lovely, thank you Matt, and the food was great! We will be back!
This the place to go to experience unique and exciting cocktails plucked right from a dream! The atmosphere is fantastic, which is perpetuated by the wonderful staff. Matt made our dining experience special and made us feel appreciated. He is truly a skilled mixologist and excels at customer service to the tenth degree. Cannot recommend this location enough. The cucumber tonic was good. The pizza was also good - not amazing but good. The appetizer completely turned us off. We ordered the roasted beets with goat cheese, and the dish was cold?? The beets were literally just raw beets from a jar with some olive oil and a bit of cheese sprinkled over them. Confused on how that’s “roasted”. We didn’t eat it. My friend got the fish tacos and didn’t finish them because the fish smelled off. It was just not good.
We chose this restaurant because it was dog friendly and had good reviews. It’s exceeded our expectations. It is just a lovely spot with delicious food and friendly service. We were able to find a shady spot to sit with our dog and we shared a salad, fish and chips excellent btw, and our son had a really good pizza. We are from London but will be back frequently visiting our son at Westerns and we’ll look forward to coming back to this place!
This place has always had a great patio, a decent beer list, and an amazing atmosphere, but under the new ownership they've owned it about a year now, the food is fantastic. The one complaint we always had with the OSVP was the food, but that has been more than taken care of. The wood-fired pizzas are amazing, and the apps we've tried are equally delicious. Plus, they still have a great patio, atmosphere, and a good selection of beer. Will be back regularly now. Edit: Was back again today. Third pizza tested from their menu, equally delicious to the previous two we've tried, AND the nachos picture are loaded, and multi-layered, so you don't run out of toppings once the top layer of chips is gone.
