Earl Rowe Provincial Park

Earl Rowe park was recommended by the parking officer at Mono Park. It is a provincial park. There are a lot of different parking areas depends where and which trail you want to go. We parked and went on the lookout trail. We found the site not very clear. The sign was nailed on a wood log in the intersection. We couldn’t tell the direction to right or left as the sign arrow points to the going straight. The trail is pretty we see the fall color. They are very nice for pictures. There are up hill slopes to the lookout point. For me, it was disappointing. It is just a flat area with a couple of benches. It is a nice area if for picnic though. The campground is well equipped with washroom and shower rooms. Filing station potable water and sewage dumping station for trailers. Love the beach area. I will come back in summer to see how the beach is. Dog-friendliness: very dog friendly, but there is tick zone it has sign but still need to be careful for humans or pets

Nice park with nice campsites. Everything within decent walking distance. Park store is nice. Beaches are nice although the lake is full of goose poop I doubt that's like that all summer. Maybe a way to clean it up can be thought of. Besides that everything about the park is great. The pool is closed for the 2022 season and has been since covid but once they open it back up I bet they will be fully booked all year. Loved the Lookout point in the north part of the park and the trails were nice. Canoeing and Paddle Boating was fun.

Very gorgeous park, very beautiful scenery, very spacious campsites and there are lots of activities to do around the camp! There are various trails that are perfect for biking and for the more adventurous, definitely a great hike! Canoe and paddle boat rentals are available at the park store during the summer time, very reasonable price for an hour! Only downfall to this campsite is not being able to swim in the little lake the have on site but there is a swimming pool available on the other side of the campground!

Day visit: we did the trails and they were well maintained. Beautiful views of the water. Not quite open for the season yet so pool is not open. Lots of geese on the beach and a few mallards in the water. Trails are well marked and have lots of benches available for resting and viewing the water. Lots of picnic tables too

Great weekend camping there. However, the park had 2 things against to not get 5 stars. Swimming at the beach is closed due to high bacteria and the swimming pool is closed for the summer for renovations. Other than that, camp sites are nice, comfort stations are fairly well maintained and close. The cost of a canoe rental was reasonable at $15/hr.

Great location. We camped here to to a day trip at Mono Cliffs nearby. We stayed the last weekend of the camping season so the park was quite empty. Park store was closed already for the season. Our site was pretty private but there are many that have no privacy at all. Comfort stations and vault toilets are located all around the campgrounds. Lots of trails

We stay 2 nights. Camping site is private. showers and washrooms are quite clean. Trekking routes are very nice. Good place for biking. Lake not so clean for swiming. We didn't swim but we enjoyed for pedal boat and canoe. Stuff are kind. We join fishing training , it was fun. Recomend for picnic and camping.

Overall good. Your experience will depend highly on your neighbour campers. Unfortunately we had neighbours who listened to music very loud for several hours and we were exposed to it too. I highly advise you to book a radio free option. Camp site overall and toilets were clean. Another downside is campsite being very close to a busy road - at night you end up listening to highway noise instead of nature.

Decent park for Day Use & Overnight Camping close to GTA. Camp Store with Supplies & Ice Cream. Dam & Fishway/Fish Ladder. Canoe & Pedal boat available but limited supply of life jackets due to COVID sanitizing. Elevated Bacteria Levels due to limited Water Reservoir & plenty of Canada Geese which makes swimming unavailable. Great Hiking opportunities. Outdoor Swimming Pool closed due to COVID. Lots of Day Use space. Amphitheater closed, needs little upkeep. The fall certainly left, no hesitation, no looking back. Few visitors, the goose took the ownership of the place, choiring all day long. Hiked part of the Rainbow Run trail, mostly along the pond, about 7km in length. The weather was nice so was the walk.
