Such a quaint old house, they make you feel very welcome,  and the breakfast was delicious!

Great location, unique property, gracious hosts and very enjoyable breakfast experience. We were fortunate to stumble on this while looking for lodging for a wedding and found it was walking distance from the ceremony and reception. The property is historic yet with modern amenities. The hosts were very accommodating to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Would highly recommend to anyone and we wish we had a chance to stay longer.

Just finished my third stay at the Dug Road Inn and was once again very satisfied with the cleanliness and hospitality. I always feel right at home. The location is convenient and the breakfast was top notch. I will be returning!

Wow what a great stay! Delicious breakfast, lots of privacy (we stayed in the William Painter room - learned all about who that is during a visit to Dunning Springs). New inn keepers are so nice and polite! Everything about it was 5 star all the way...beats any of the chain hotels in Decorah. Will definately stay again and referring all my family and friends to go for a nice weekend getaway!

They will cancel your reservations whenever they feel like it.  Found out one month prior to our stay that they were canceling our reservation because they wanted to book it for someone else staying for more nights.
