If you are someone who is looking to find nice glasses this place is for you. I’m wearing glasses for the past 22 years of my life, that means I have tried all the possible shops around Calgary, yet this shop has given me the best experience. Big thanks to Eilleen, she is one of the best optician that I was blessed to work with. With my high prescription, she took her time and found me exactly what I needed and wanted. I also love their warranty policy, that proves that their product is very high quality. I’m wearing the best glasses in my life now, and never ever I was that proud to wear glasses as now. Thank you .

I have been going to Downtown vision care for over 12 years. Dr. Dame is great and I have no doubt the other optometrists there are very good too. The eyeglass part of the clinic has a broad selection of high quality and current frame styles and it promptly addresses any concerns patients/customers have with their prescriptions and orders.

I spent thousands of dollars at Visioncare for a prescription I was uncomfortable with, bizarre service when trying to buy contacts she kept hedging and twisting and evading how many were in the box for what price. After weeks of waiting for glasses, the prescription was backwards as was the PD. I was charged $400 for thin coated lenses "because they are really thin and expensive". Steered away from frames I like, "because they'd look weird with your prescription". My advice from experience: Get a prescription from Walmart $80 then buy online, "fully coated super expensive thin lenses" in great frames that you love all available for under $200 and received within a week; while the same pair with "fully coated super thin expensive lenses and frames" will cost $1000.00 plus $150.00+ for prescriptions that, in my case, were just never quite right, took forever to receive, and made me question the competency of the staff. For real problems see an ophthalmologist.

I've been seeing Paul Dame for several years at Downtown Vision Care - I live abroad and make sure to get my eye exams done here when I am visiting because of the due care and quality of service including them always using newer technologies I get. Overall, always a very positive experience, never rushed, very thorough. Thank you!!

My dad and I can't thank enough to Dr.Crowe and her staffs for all their help with my dad's situation. My dad recently had an IOL dislocated on his right eye after his cataract surgery he had 10 years ago. He's been waiting for another surgery but with all the elective surgeries being postponed, he was just waiting with his right eye basically almost blind. The surgeon suggested a custom lens for aphakia that my dad can wear while waiting for the surgery to help him see things. So I have contacted many different eye clinics and Downtown Vision Care was the fastest to reply. The staff her name is Leanne who was helping me was super nice and guided me with the full information I needed. Meeting with Dr.Crowe was amazing too. She kindly reviewed my dad's case, suggested some options and at the end she was able to provide us exactly what we needed. The whole process was very quick which we really needed. And during the whole process the staffs were all very kind and I am really grateful for all their help.

This is a good shop. The service at Downtown Vision Care is very thorough. In terms of the eye exams. They use the latest equipment and they will return phone calls in case of specific questions or emergencies. The prescription glasses are fitted by well trained individuals. They bring a sense of confidence to this function. DVC sells top quality prescription progressive lenses. I am also a fan of their prescription Maui Jim sunglasses. They are second to none for glare reduction. From the reception, to the exams, to the final product, the staff works as a team. Well done, DVC!

My hubby had an eye injury and was referred here to see Dr Crowe. All of the staff here were friendly and helpful. Dr Crowe is amazing. So upbeat and friendly with an ever present smile She helped us get my hubby fitted with a special contact and he was able to go back to work and drive again
