Down East Lobster Pound

Just awesome, good prices, the small lobsters for $6.99 were all over 1 3/4 pound to 2 pounds. Not like the other place who wanted $16.99 a pound. They even gave me free butter, forks, napkins, bibs, and moist towelettes. Clean place, clean bath rooms too. They even had 3 different lobsters. Great people and friendly.

The fact that they package and sell seafood in cold packs for traveling is cool but the food was just okay. Had a lobster roll, a crab roll, and a cup of clam chowder. The sandwiches were decent but the clam chowder wasn't what I was expecting at all. The clams were fresh but the soup was bland. All in all it's not terrible, especially if you're looking for a place to get some lobster to take home, but I was hoping the food would be more spectacular.

A truly wonderful experience! Fresh lobster is not available where I live. So this was definitely a treat for me!

I usually would not bother writing a review but this place was such a disappointment I don't want others to fall into a tourist trap. I was hoping for a good lobster roll but was highly disappointed. The lobster was ice cold, bland on a poor quality bun. The corn was over cooked and mushy. The service was poor with highly rude staff. I felt like I was ripped off in a tourist trap. I do not recommend this place.

They cook 'em, you eat 'em. Don't expect many amenities. Wooden picnic tables with a nice view of the highway. Prices were reasonable, however. That's a big plus+.
