This might be the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in the Seattle area. The exterior and the surroundings definitely do not scream “amazing food,” but if you take a chance and walk inside you will be greeted with generous portions of fresh vegetables, perfectly cooked, moist meats, bottomless, homemade tortilla chips, amazing salsa, and margaritas that will snap your head back. We definitely did not expect this hole-in-the-wall on the corner to come through like it did. Everything was well prepared, everything tasted like someone cared, the service was great, and the bill was totally reasonable. We do not live in the area, but we will definitely make the drive back just to come here. If you are in the area—hell, even if you are not, go to this place. You will not be disappointed.
Good food & great conversation with the waiter. Ordered Menudo & Enchiladas. They gave be extra spice too on the side, so I could custom spice my food. A little cleaning near the windows would do them good. Parking: Parking is scare, but you can park across the street in the large lot that staples & Petco has & just walk across. Caution - There are a few druggies near the street side of the parking.
We visited Dos Agave for the first time on our trip to Marysville, Washington recently. My husband read goid reviews of this place so we decided to try it. We were surprisingly delighted to see a colorful happy atmosphere. The tables were big and clean, the decor was nicely done. I didn't like how the booths felt when we sat so we moved to the table bench seating instead. The seating in the booth was too low and tight to the table for me and being short doesn't help at all. I liked the colorful murals and big felted sombreros hanging on the walls. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious, especially the free nachos that were warm and freshly made with two types of salsas. My husband had the beef tacos with rice and beans and I had the vegetarian fajitas. The vegetables came in a hot steaming cast iron plate served with rice and beans and 4 tortillas. It was delicious and piping hot. The lime margarita was a bit too strong for me as I am not much of a drinker but it was flavourful. There was free wifi and the waitress gave us the password which was a plus as we had turned off our data when visiting the US. The waiters were attentive to our needs and spoke perfect English which we were thankful as our Spanish is very limited. They checked back with us a few times and gave us everything we needed to make our visit very pleasant. Overall we really liked Dos Agave and will definitely return again. Vegetarian options: There were a few vegetarian options in their menu. I had the vegetarian fajitas.
It's okay. Average food. Salsa amount was very small in one single serve sauce container for the whole table. Menu was large. Parking is difficult. There is not parking in front of the restaurant. A few spaces in the alley and side street parking was only a couple spaces and full.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: No
The restaurant has its own twist on Mexican food, but that flex is not for everyone nor the price point. We gave dessert a try ordering the fried ice cream and flan. The ice cream I liked with the tortilla crust and cinnamon dusted over the top. The flan was not silky enough for my tastes and the whipped cream didn't enhance the dish.. The staff is very accommodating with no language barrier making ordering and paying the bill easy.
This is a small Mexican restaurant across from S Marysville Albertsons on State Street and 2nd Avenue. It was a very welcome environment. I was seated for one at a booth and the chips and salsa were delicious. Came very quick and chips were warm. Yes I could drink the salsa with a straw. I ordered some bean dip and it was a very large portion and very delicious. I ordered the seafood enchiladas which were cooked to perfection with just enough of everything on top that I love. I had three servings of salsa. So delicious. The flavors were perfect and just what I was craving. The service was great it’s in a convenient location and I highly recommend it. TIP YOUR SERVERS!! :
On our 4th visit and one other time via take out... We Love this place. Our party ordered Carne Asada, Pollo Asada and Steak dos Agaves plus two very large, strong and rather tasty Margaritas plus a very refreshing juice cranberry w/ lime. This is Not another chain Mexican restaurant. The food is more carefully prepared, the portions are more generous, the food realy is fantastic and the atmosphere is simply charming. The rice that was included on our plates was spectacular. Homemade tortillas and salsa from their family recipe. It also so happens that this place is very budget friendly. We left a generous tip and still got out for under $100. I guarantee we will be back :
I'm from southern California, this place reminds me of the Mexican restaurants there.. Absolutely love this place and the people who run and own it, they are hard working people who deserve a chance. The shop is a little small but cozy and the food is fantastic. Please stop in and support this local restaurant you will not regret it. Try the Mexican pizza it's over the top delicious. I will continue to eat here and recommend you give'em a shot.
Worst restaurant I’ve ever been to! Food was atrocious! Ordered a $22 meal with specifics and they got it completely wrong, and had attitude when told about it. Mexican rice was very dry and bland with no taste at all. Everything that was put on our table smelled of tomato sauce! The margarita is watered down with no flavor at all! There is absolutely no parking whatsoever! We had to park across the street in a plaza parking lot area and walk across the street in traffic with a baby. I’m normally not a person that complains about restaurants, but I feel as if I should let the world know about this one. Definitely wouldn’t leave any stars if I could. Horrible experience. #Never Again!!!
Great flavor! Finally found nearby Mexican restaurant that tastes as good as it smells. They do need to bake takeout longer to get hot. We live close and dinner barely warm on outside of entree. Center cold but worth the reheat for delicious!
