I came in today for a very much needed hair cut and was extremely pleased with the results. I had a positive experience with Vania. I showed her some pictures of what I wanted and she took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. She asked the appropriate questions, provided some suggestions and checked in with me throughout the process to ensure I received exactly what I wanted. Thanks again, Vania for your care and attention. Highly recommend!
I started getting my haircuts done from Helen at Donato and I am always very happy with my haircut I can’t thank her enough. She has done an amazing job and I always feel so good and refreshing after the hair cut. She is friendly, professional, and has great attention to detail I highly recommend Helen. The staff are friendly and accommodating. But, you sometimes are on hold for quite a while to get through on the phone. I am currently on hold for over 10 mins and still waiting. I have tape in extensions and went for a wash and blow dry - the girl who washed my hair didn’t know how to deal with extensions. I had to tell her to not put the conditioner and oil on the roots and she still did. I think she is very new. If extensions are not handled properly it can damage the hair so I would just ask for someone experienced if you have extensions and are looking for just blowouts . EDIT - I went for a second visit, Helen did my blowout this time. And everything was perfect. She was super friendly and did such a great job. Will definitely come back and book with her.
Best hair cut ever !. Aisha did an amazing job and even gave me a new look. Totally in love with my hair and will definitely be back again. Fantastic job Aisha and , totally enjoyed chatting to such a talented stylist so many hair care tips!. Have to say Donato is so LIT :.
Had a great experience with Julian H She is very professional, and she gave me a little head massage while washing, I even dosed off while my cut. Gave good hair care advice. Definitely ask for her if you wish to get a haircut.
If 0 star was an option I would’ve given that. I had the worst experience with Aisha. She is very unprofessional and has no idea what the clients are asking for. I showed her videos and pictures of what I wanted she cut my hair no where close to what I wanted. She chopped so much hair off from random places. My hair looks choppy and unbalanced. She also made weird comments throughout the haircut session which were not welcoming at all. Please don’t ever trust her with your hair. She’s absolutely terrible at her job. It was my first and last time at Donato because of her poor service.
Jennifer did an amazing job cuting my hair yesterday. George did beautiful balayage highlights and curls for me today. Given their experience, they were able to confidently recommend a style and colour suitable for me. I'm so happy with the service and will definitely be back.
My boyfriend took me here for the very first time in January. I just say, I received a complete hair makeover by Robyn. She is truly amazing and has experience with us curly hair girls, she also works very fast! The salon is also extremely nice and clean. Thank you Robyn!
0 stars. I rarely leave reviews but my evening was literally ruined. I had an event the other day that was in my honour my bridal shower actually. I had booked a hair cut with a stylist named leo at 2:45pm. I had been getting things ready for my event prior and also have a toddler which had a soccer game in the morning etc etc I’m saying this because not everyone checks their phone all day long. So I’m headed to my appointment which is not very close to my home and while I was 5 minutes away I realize I have a voicemail from a number I didn’t recognize when I listened to the voicemail it’s Donatos calling me at around 11 telling me that my stylist had a family emergency and had to cancel on me. Fine I am quite understanding of family emergencies and I’m also not picky about who does my hair so I call them to tell them I’m 5 minutes away coming from far but I just heard their voicemail and I’m inquiring who will be my new stylist. They told me no one was available until 6 pm. Literally the time of my event, they quickly “apologized” but had no solution and hung up. I was left scrambling calling any and all salons near the are which by the way was impossible to get a last minute appointment that same day. I was left with no haircut and no style for my own event. I was in tears. devastated, they wasted my time and ruined my mood and my evening. I had to rush back home to do my own hair. I find it interesting that they charge you $50 for last minute cancellations and wasting the stylists time but they offer you absolutely NOTHING in return for doing it to you. THE BARE MINIMUM would have been to switch me to another stylist, CONSIDERING I never called back to let them know I got their memo. I do not recommend them to anyone ever ESPECIALLY if you’re going to an event that day.
I left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Typically I get “long layers” but after no cut in half a year, I really needed some TLC for my dry mom hair lol. Rocky the stylist was amazing and a true artist of his craft. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
