Dollarama

I had this place rated 5 stars, but after my experience this morning, may 9 2024, I have most definitely put it to one star. The employee that I was dealing with at the till was, to say the least, the rudest employee I have ever had the displeasure of having to interact with. It really is unfortunate because this place is usually great and usually has great employees, but due to this one person at the til today, I no longer feel like that. I buy a lot of items when I go to the dollarama probably $150 every month. They have ALWAYS bagged my items when I buy a bag. Today, the lady at the til asked if I wanted a bag and I said yes, a large one. I was busy putting my many items on the counter and didn't realize she had just placed a bag on the counter. When I looked up and seen the bag, I asked her if she was going to pack the bag? She just looked at me and carried on. After another bit of putting things on the counter, and she still hadn't grabbed the bag, I looked at her and asked if she was actually not going to fill the bag instead of overloading the counter like she was. She still just looked at me and carried on. Miffed at this point at being blatantly ignored on a simple question, I said fine and grabbed the bag and started filling it. I asked her when they had stopped filling the bags for customers? Again, she just looked at me and carried on. At this point I was absolutely appalled at the fact that this nasty woman just kept ignoring me and looking at me and carrying on. When I was paying I told her just so you know it is incredibly rude to not answer somebody that's asking questions. Especially simple questions. I just wanted to know why and when. Dollarama needs to do better training their staff in customer service!!!! That was absolute bull!!!!

Messy, unorganized, staff seem like they would rather be anywhere else except there. There was an artificial floral odor all throughout the store that ended up triggering a small asthma attack, so beware of asthma and allergies before going into this store.

I find most of the basic items I need in Dollarama at cheaper prices.

Very sad. No help at all. Had to bag my own stuff. No room on the counter. The man with the mustache was quite rude. By being indifferent and just watching as I loaded my products in my bag. I'm seriously not going to shop there again.

They have a really great variety of products. The Staff are always, polite friendly, and helpful. They work hard to keep shelves sto ked and the store clean.nThanks so much. I'm glad we have our town Dollarama back.
