We went on a Saturday night, Easter long weekend. It was busy, but we still got a seat for 4. Although the food isn't prepared as well as other places in the neighborhood, District Eleven makes up for it by offering complimentary starters, excellent customer service, a large selections of drinks, and a great vibe. We ordered quite a few dishes, mainly to share, definitely the better way to eat here than to have your own separate meal. It's worth checking out if you're with a group. I recommend coming for happy hour and getting shared plates to really maximize your time here.
District Eleven is a great spot for delicious food and drinks! We went for dinner, but will definitely be back for late night snacks, now knowing the hours. I would highly recommend the Yuzu Lemon Drop from the cocktail list. All the food we tried was delicious and I want to be back to try the rest of the menu! Service was kind, quick, and efficient and the ambiance is very easy and casual.
Nice food with artificial fire places and table lamps. Cozy feel. Creamy mussel Motoyaki, tacos, Sable fish, truffle fries, and nice drinks. A bit of everything here on the menu which is available very late in the night too. The vibes are similar to Earls late night eats but with more Asian flavor flare.
Heard a lot about this place from friends and decided to check it out. Did not disappoint! Came here on a Sunday night with friends, and everything was really nice. The food was delicious and we tried almost everything. We had a mix of appies and pho. The drinks were great and food was hit and came up fast. The flavors definitely were very inventive. Would come back!
Food is incredible, dishes are full of flavor with touch of simplicity which I liked the most. Very much personal touch of Chef Kevin and owner Phil there. Staff lovely, Trinh and Lynn Cocktails were balanced and flavorful. I highly recommend all “sours”
Went here on a Sunday afternoon for their happy hour and had a good experience. Restaurant was not crowded. Ordered their chicken taco, umami bombs and their curly fries. Really enjoyed the tacos and umami bomb. What is a must order is their shiso melon drink. SO GOOD and so refreshing. Their moolong milk tea was so so. Service was good and pricing is acceptable. Would return again to try other items.
District Eleven looked like a modern fusion Vietnamese restaurant when it first came to my radar, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to try them. I highly recommend the Banh Xeo Ebi Tempura. It was crispy and delicious, albeit a tad pricey. The aburi crispy rice was okay, I would recommend adding the $2 and substitute it with salmon. One thing I didn’t get was the amuse bouche they gave us to start the meal off, it was deep fried rice noodle squares with some seasoning on top. Problem was, the noodles were not completely crispy, and felt very oily when you bite into them. It also had no flavour whatsoever. Could probably do without. For our mains we got the lemongrass clams, the beef pho and the Bo Luc Lac. The clams were cooked perfectly, no sand, the soup was a bit salty but still tasty. The beef pho was also good, a hot bowl of noodles with tender beef and crunchy bean sprouts, absolutely will heal your soul. The Bo Luc lac was jam packed with flavour and went so well with the rice. The beef was tender and had a familiar Chinese stir fry “wok qi” for me. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and most of the dishes we ordered had met or exceeded our expectations. Service was quick and solid. The only down side is the location, it’s in a strip mall and shared the small parking lot with other businesses, their stalls were ridiculously small and tight.
Can't count how many times I've eaten District Eleven since they opened last fall. They have perfect late-night eats with a mix of authentic Vietnamese dishes. By now I've tried 90% of their menu and am always excited to be back to try their monthly specials. Shoutout to my fave server Trinh and the other staff for always being so welcoming with each visit! My favourite drinks are the sogurt yoju and cafe cam, and favourite dishes are the aburi crispy rice and pho poutine.
A true hidden gem! Amazing food and lovely decor. The Bo Luc Lac is a MUST - the beef was so flavourful and tender. It’s one of the pricier items on the menu but well worth it. We also ordered the kimchi udon and nori truffle fries. The udon was creamy and well flavoured. I would pass on the truffle fries. Not because it was bad but because it’s so common and I would rather try something else on their menu!
I really loved this place! Stumbled upon it one evening and was pleasantly impressed with the food and the cocktails. The fusion flavours were delicious and the presentation is beautiful! Great menu selection too and enjoyable atmosphere for late night snacks.
