Grand reopening today. Menu items were limited. While the staff were a little inexperienced, the service was still great. Personable, attentive and friendly. Give them a little while to iron out all the kinks. Pho was great. We wanted to try their fried chicken but they didn't have them yet. We had their spring rolls instead. Best spring rolls ever. This is a must have. We'll be back to try more items on their menu.
I ordered the beef soup noodle combo. The beef noodle was nice, and there was a lot of meat inside. The spring rolls were super crunchy and delicious! I love the dipping sauce for the spring rolls too. It’s sweet and sour taste. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the environment is super cozy. I would love to visit again :
Cambie Vietnamese is the definition of an authentic and cozy family-run restaurant. I believe the restaurant had undergone a renovation and recently opened up again, so there were still a few technological kinks for them to troubleshoot, but despite all that, the service was hospitable and friendly! The spring rolls were absolutely fantastic as well! The wrapper was crispy and the filling was fresh and flavorful. The dipping sauce was the perfect complement to the rolls, adding an extra layer of flavor. I would highly recommend the spring rolls as an appetizer or a side dish. I had ordered the well-cooked beef along with the meatballs and the authenticity and flavour of the pho was top-notch. The broth was rich and satisfying and there was an abundance of meats which was highly appreciated! The quality of the ingredients and the care in preparation is evident in every bite. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. 5/5 stars!
An UberEats haul of Lemongrass Tofu Cơm Tofu Chay and fresh Shrimp Salad Rolls Gỏi Cuốn which was OK. I personally thought the flavor was way too overkill, stingy portion of tofu and just lacking any kind of excitement. The Shrimp Salad Rolls Gỏi Cuốn were definitely the highlight, huge and pretty tasty and well presented. Support local businesses!
Affordable, tasty food and friendly service. They have a bunch of combos where you get a main dish and a spring roll for $14-15. We ordered one of the combos with pho special and a pork salad roll. The pho was big enough for two of us to share and tasted really good. The soup had a strong taste of star anise but was not too over powering. It included a generous amount of noodles and beef. The salad roll was large and tasty. The portions of meat in the salad roll was a little less than expected. The spring roll was hot snd crispy and had some nice filling. The food was good but the place needs some work on cleanliness. We received a dirty plate and there were several flies flying around.
Owners are always very friendly and you can’t go wrong with your choices here. I had seafood fried noodle today with a side of spring roll. Fyi, their spring roll is HUGE so I recommend ordering one per person.
Amazing Place! I had a salted plum soda as a drink, which I was first suspicious of, but it was very refreshing and tasty. as an apatizer I had one shrimp salad roll. It came with peanut sauce. As a main meal I got the F forgot the name. Both dishes were delicious. The interior of the place looks okay. It honestly could be upgraded pretty easily. a thing I personally really liked is that their menu had pictures for every dish they have. That gives you a good impression about the sizes. the one $ sign is well earned. I paid 27$ without taxes The personel was very friendly and family-like. One of my friends got an avocado shake, which was creamy sweet and overall delicious.
Service is friendly and attentive. One of the better pho places around town for sure. Ordered the house special pho. Was initially skeptical by the $17 price tag, but Im still glad that I ordered it. Nice big portions, with generous amounts of rare beef, tendon, and other meats. Broth is very taste, and has nice meaty flavours instead of just salt/msg. There are other pho priced at around $15.75, if you don’t want to order the house special. Looking forward to coming back in the future so I can try a few other dishes.
Cambie Vietnamese has been around for 31 years. I love this family restaurant. The headwaiter, “Hello, My Brother” Brian, is one of the most genuine, authentic, and a lifetime dedicated customer-service-oriented pro-server you can ever get in Vancouver. Their beef pho has always been fantastic and recommended many times repeatedly already. I love their pho. So, today I will write a review about their other non-pho dishes. Tonight we ordered six dishes for the three of us: escargot with buttered toasts, steamed rice crepes, spring rolls, pork salad roll, Vietnamese fried noodles, 1 Kokanee and grilled chicken fried rice. Every dish was awesome. Consistently great is their secret. The bill came to $61.00. Come on, really!!!!! I have run into Brian buying bags of cilantro at T&T and Fruiticana several times in the past. They buy at retail and yet charge us crazy reasonable prices for their dishes. I don’t know how they lasted so long. They are honest, hard-working entrepreneurs, who live in the community, buy from the community and serve the community type of genuine local folks. Come eat here. You will not regret it.
Great experience here! Had Combo #1 which was any beef pho and a spring roll which was well priced and very yummy! The servers were very sweet and our service was quick. Will visit again!
