Discount Car & Truck Rentals

They posted a $350 security charge on my card. When I called them a couple of days later, they told me it would take a few days. When I called back 6 days later, they told me that they wouldn't be able to do it and I would have to call my bank to get it removed. I have been waiting 20 minutes on hold with my bank to speak with someone. NEVER EVER WOULD I USE DISCOUNT AGAIN. U-haul makes it so simple. Oh, and BTW, the truck was filthy.

Excellent customer service, friendly staff and clean rental cars. Some of the staff at this location walk the extra mile to understand the customer situation and extend help as required. I was looking for a 8 seater van and the agent coordinated with Discount locations in GTA to get a van we required. Great example of service orientation! well done team discount cars oakville! way to go :-)

My truck rental reservation was cancelled on me the day before I needed it. They gave me a reservation number with a "confirmed" status, pick up time/location/etc., no mention of "pending availability". No other communication at the time I booked it. Unfortunately this was my last choice since it was more expensive than anywhere else I was quoted, but I went with it because they claimed to have availability for the date I needed. If you can't guarantee availability then be up front about it. I won't consider renting here again, I need more reliability.

DO NOT BOTHER WITH DISCOUNT RENTAL...I HAVE BOOKED A RESERVATION A MONTH BEFORE I NEEDED A VEHICLE.JOEY WAS THE PERSON WHO DID MY RESERVATION AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE WILL HAVE A VEHICLE THAT I WAS LOOKING READY FOR ME,I CALLED 4 TIMES AFTER JUST TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS OK AND EVERY TIME I CALLED I WAS TOLD THAT EVERYTHING IS FINE! SO THIS MORNING I CALLED AT 11:30 AM TO CONFIRM MY PICK UP AT 5 PM, LADY ANSWERED THE PHONE AND SHE SAID EVERYTHING IS FINE AND WITHIN 10 SECONDS AFTER I TALKED TO HER,JOEY CALLS ME BACK SAYING SORRY WE DO NOT HAVE THE VEHICLE THAT YOUR LOOKING FOR AT THIS TIME AND THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO AND THAT WAS THE END OF OUR CONVERSATION..I TOOK TIME OFF FROM WORK AND I STOPPED AT THEIR LOCATION TO SEE HOW COME AFTER ALL THIS TIME HEARING THAT EVERYTHING IS FINE NOW ON THE DAY THAT I NEEDED A VEHICLE THEIR SAYING THAT THEY HAVE NOTHING FOR ME ....I WALKED IN AND JOEY IS SITTING AT HIS DESK A CROSS THE ROOM..HE DID NOT EVEN BOTHER COMING UP TO ME TO EXPLAIN THINGS ALL HE SAID TO ME WHILE HES SITTING AT HIS DESK WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT ME WAS THAT HE WAS SORRY THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN DO AND I SHOULD CALL ENTERPRISE THEY MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING FOR ME AND HE KEPT TALKING ABOUT A GAME TO ANOTHER PERSON WHILE I WAS WAITING AT FRONT DESK WONDERING WHAT TO DO!JOEY YOUR NOTHING BUT A TWO FACE LIAR AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR WASTING MY TIME THIS WHOLE TIME! I CALLED DISCOUNT HEAD OFFICE 3 TIMES AFTER THAT AND EVERY TIME CALLED THEY SAID THE PERSON IN CHARGE IS ON LUNCH WE WILL HAVE HIM CALL YOU BACK AND OF COURSE NO ONE GOT BACK TO ME ! SAVE YOUR TIME AND DO NOT BOTHER WITH DISCOUNT RENTAL ESPECIALLY JOEY AT THE SOUTH SERVICE ROAD LOCATION! THANK YOU DISCOUNT RENTAL & JOEY FOR RUINING MY FAMILY LONG WEEKEND!!!!!
