I would never call Deans Electric again!  I was told that they would be here in the morning.  I got a phone call saying that they would not show up until the afternoon.  Between 12-4PM.  I was told no charges until problem was known.  Not so!  I was told it would cost $180 just to see what the problem was.  When I said I was not going to pay that and they could leave they wanted to charge me a travel fee! Not going to happen!  The only reason I gave them one star is because you have to give at least a star in order to post a review

Dean's has very professional group of people that my husband and I are very grateful for. They do exceptional work. They know exactly what they are doing and they do it right the first time to prevent issues down the road. They always assess and very clearly explain what's working well and what needs to be done. They are very professional, courteous, efficient, and never high pressure. It's comforting to have reliable and trustworthy people that you know you can count on.

Lesson of the day, always get a second opinion. Had our winter furnace inspection today by Deans - result 3 parts need replacing even though boiler is under warranty, labour charge $2000, or a new furnace at $2400... oh and by the way you have to make a decision because there are dangerous levels of Carbon Monoxide, even though we have detectors that have not detected. I called the gas supply company out as an emergency since we can not operate without a furnace and told the said Deans’ inspector, to whom we pay an annual fee for these inspections, to leave. He did so and turned the furnace off.

Gas supply company detected no problems made a slight adjustment on the air intake, carbon monoxide levels dropped, and there was no carbon monoxide in the house anyway!

I shall be lodging a serious complaint. We have had this sort of ‘hard-sell’ from them in past, but much easier to ignore, since it did not have as serious consequences should they be right!

I have a feeling, since I am a foreign national he thought he could take advantage. I will be reporting Deans to the Better Business Bureau. 

Please avoid using them. They are extremely shady.

Great customer service and thorough work. No complaints. Dean's dispatcher called right away to confirm my appt, called to notify me I was next in line, and also followed up after the call to be sure all of my concerns and issues were addressed. Steve my technician was personable, knew what he was doing, and explained everything he was going to do and why. Great people, great service.

The plumber was very nice and very helpful.  He reviewed all options to resolve all of my issues and gave me quotes to take care of each part.  For today I only went with the minimum.  I expected to get some feedback on that but all he did was send me information about having the additional work done in the future.  I really appreciated that approach.  No pressure.  He did a great job and was so pleasant.  I would recommend him to anyone who would ask.  Thanks so much to him and your entire team.
