Dar's Double Scoop

Cute, old-fashioned looking ice cream parlor. We didn't eat but we all had ice cream and it was delicious. There are TONS of flavors so check the tags on the glass, the list on the far right, and the large sign hanging near the register as they have different flavors listed. You get an extra scoop but luckily their signs show how many scoops you actually get a small is 2 scoops for $4.75, medium is 3 scoops for $6, large is 4 scoops, etc.. I use the term "scoop" loosely as it was a huge amount and not traditional scoop. I saw a couple kids with tiny cones and a tiny scoop of ice cream that is perfect for kids and I wish a had known about it before ordering a "small" for our child because it was more like a pint! Fun, nostalgic atmosphere. Very large servings. Great value. Pleasant, friendly staff. They had a steady stream off customers getting ice cream, hot dogs, pizzas, etc. the entire time we were there which was over an hour while we were eating all that ice cream and it wasn't even a hot summer day. Dar's Double Scoop shares restrooms with Hunter's Boys restaurant next door, which was closed or out of business but you could still access the bathrooms. Free on-street parking I front and next to building. May have a small lot in back.So glad we found it on a Google search after the place we planned to go to was closed on Sundays. We will definitely go back.

It's our first time here, the staff on the phone was really nice n courteous when we placed oir order. We got a pizza and funnel cake sorry 4got 2take picture of pizzaTheir store was really clean n cozy. I really like their decor. They have a lot of ice cream flavors, which we didn't get[as we had some at home 2finish] but will be going back for sure! There's alot of choices from food to ice-cream so go support n tip!

There was not enough help last night, but I came back tonight, and the employee apologized for being short-staffed on a Sunday. I was just glad to get a chance to have some amazing ice cream, and she gave me an extra scoop because I mentioned the long wait around 7 pm on Sunday. Great ice cream, good selection of grill items. Always a treat and cheerfully staffed. Thank you.

Cute little ice cream shoppe, with friendly welcoming staff, and good food. They have a nice variety of ice cream flavors, and good pizza with an insane cheese-pull! This picture is the SMALL 2 scoop on a waffle cone.

The icecream and waffle chips were good. But the coney dog and the hotdog with sauerkraut were substandard. I ordered through doordash so with the inflated prices I was expecting better tasting food.

Dar's has gone somewhat downhill since I last visited . It appears that He sold the operation to a new face that has kept most of the menu but somehow the pizazz is not there. Of course the ice cream menu is still huge, so if your in the ice cream mood go for it! Note the onion rings are second to none- A box as big as a shoebox full to the top and not greasy at all. All I'm saying is that Dar imparted a small town vibe that just isn't there any longer.

The ice cream was delicious. The cashier was more than friendly and courteous her CO workers. Funny me but the place was so dirty. He's hit dried up food all over the place trash on the floor could hardly see the flavors of ice cream In the cooler. And I give them 5 stars because I love ice cream.

The staff member couldn't tell us what kind of nuts were in some of the I've cream flavors. He also charged me for both mine and my friends orders after being asked to do them separately 3 times. Tables were sticky and gross. Will not be returning, the lack of knowledge about allergy ingredients was particularly concerning.

I decided to take my son to Dar's Double Scoop on Easter Sunday. The service was great and the dinning area was clean. We had pizza, cheese curbs and onion rings that were absolutely delicious. To top it off we had to have our favorite ice cream... Highly recommend. Thanks

Ordered online, showed up 30 minutes later and our order hasn’t been started because their fudge machine was broke. No text or call. No other customers in the store so not like they were too busy. So after actually getting the ice cream, I must say it was damn delicious. Loved eating it just a hassle in the beginning.
