Dalton's Cakes

Great place. Everything is home made and most of all the people behind here are wholesome. I would recommend getting the cinnamon bun w/ frosting and a small hot chocolate on the side, they make a perfect combination before a train ride.

Super friendly staff. Went above and beyond with my cake order. The same cake was going to cost me double the price at loven oven. My cake was beautiful and delicious!

Wery nice staff and good service. Good selection of homemade gluten free baked goods. Lunch items are very fresh, but I found my beef wrap to be very average and bland. The stuffed potato was very good. The cup of chicken pot pie soup was 3/4 liquid and 1/4 celery, potato and peas, and little better than a canned soup. The lunch entrees were over $8 each. I wouldn't eat lunch there again, but I would go back for the gluten free stuff.

I must say we are so glad to have found this hidden gem nestled on the edge of Prairie Crossing! It was Fat Tuesday (yesterday), and while running errands in Grayslake, we had a taste for Paczkis - a Polish treat available at most places only once a year. We did not want to get them from a grocery store, so we set out to find a bakery. Daltons came up on my search and I called after seeing their great reviews. Yes, they make Paczkis, and the kind young lady on the phone said they had 2 left. I asked her to box them up, and that I would be right over. When I got there I was greeted by a pleasant woman with the most lovely British accent! An equally pleasant young woman emerged from the kitchen and handed me the Paczis. I was amazed by the size (they seemed larger than most). I had a feeling these were going to be good. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint! When my husband and I took our first bites, these delights proved to be moist, dense, and oh so satisfying! Nothing like the grocery store types. We both rate them "The best Paczkis we've ever had!"

They have the most beautiful, imaginative, incredibly delicious baked goods.....even in Gluten-Free and other non allergy goids!
