Dakota Lodge

We had our wedding at the Dakota Lodge this summer and it was absolutely phenomenal. They are super affordable and they give you a lot of freedom to customize your wedding - they do not limit you on which caterers and vendors to use. You can cater in your own food, even made by you or a friend! We made our own cupcakes to serve at the wedding and it saved us a bit of money. We had an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, and you really can't beat the convenience of that. The outdoor ceremony worked wonderfully as there is a large oak tree that will shade most guests (we had ~120 guests) The staff on site the day of, and the staff helping me plan the wedding were all professional and helpful. Our guests couldn't stop commenting about how awesome the venue was! It's not over the top fancy although I'm sure you can make it so if you'd like, and very comfortable. You won't regret having your wedding at the Dakota Lodge!

We use Dakota Lodge for workshops and training events for mental health professionals. This is an awesome venue that is affordably priced and does not have catering restrictions. Set on a lake, the venue has a really comfortable feel, with a nice sitting space, a fireplace and seating for 150-160! Our attendees love it!

Cannot say enough good things about the Dakota Lodge at Thompson Park. From first email showing interest in booking this venue, email responses were almost immediate, super diligent and friendly staff. Tour was exceptional, any random off the wall question we had, the tour guide answered thoroughly. The on-side coordinators the day of the wedding were also amazing. We had no worries that anything would go wrong for our big day!

Beautiful place to have an event. The staff are flexibility and quick to answer questions.
