We LOVE this campground! So quiet. State Park feel, with camping amenities. Free push button showers. Nice sandy beach with awesome nature obstacles park with splash pad and big zipline. Great lake to non motor or motor boat on. Beautiful biking trails and prairie hiking trails. Brand new playgrounds throughout park. The NICEST camping host I've ever met! So helpful and a joy to visit with! Negative: middle camping spots so close together, but that won't stimop us from going here again. Playground: By the beach it is nature explote like with splash pad. We seen 2 very nice playground, one by our campsite thay was w/c accessories play. Dog-friendliness: Dogs need to be on a leash but lots of dogs at the campground.
Very nice and clean campground with great access to bike trails. However, the campsites are very close together with no privacy. We could hear conversations from our neighbors.
Beautiful and well taken care of campground. The lake is next to you. All streets and sites are paved and level.
We stayed here for three nights while visiting family in the area. It was great! Paved RV parking sites with plenty of room and pull-thrus. The lake is beautiful. Lots of walking areas, and areas for kids to play. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and well-maintained. The park hosts were very friendly and helpful. Our site was right by the lake. A very relaxing place to come back to each evening. We look forward to coming back. One of our favorite campgrounds!
I love this camp grounds! Great beaches, camping, trails, and people to help make your stay comfortable. I will be camping there much more.
Very nice camp ground. They have camp sites with water and power of need. Plenty of bike paths and space at the beach with a water fountain park and multiple playground for all ages. Definitely will be back!
Lake Byllesby has a pretty big sized playground for the kids, nice long walking path with a scenic route through the woods and a brand new footbridge that leads you right up to the edge of the Cannon River. The bridge that overlooks the dam is great, the views are beautiful and it's a great place to learn some information about the Dam itself as there are plenty of informational signs along the paths. The one negative thing however, is as you continue walking the paths toward the dam itself - you really do not have any options to stop to stop and rest or be in the shade. Overall this is a great place to take the family for some scenic views and quality family time.
Awesome local campground and park area. RV camped a couple of times and both were very enjoyable. Spectacular views, nice lots, and clean bathrooms. Lots to do for families and good beaches. Definitely a win!
The park is newly renovated and has many more sites. Trees are growing in some areas and some are good shade trees.
Nice big lake in scenic area, interesting dam view. Hiking/skiing paths in park are well kept and wide. Only downside is the high number of houses in the area encroaching on the natural "away from civilization" feel, with back yards brushing the hiking paths. Not the park's fault, though.
