Daan Go Cake Labs have the cutest macarons, pastries and cakes. By far one of the best in GTA! They have a variety unique Asian fusion flavours and super adorable aesthetics. They are absolutely flavourful, their cakes have the right amount of sweetness and tasted exactly as described. Prices are decent and they make the perfect gift for all occasions. I always get their macaroons & cake for family & friends birthday and celebrations. Will definitely recommend to anyone!
Delicious Asian dessert shop. They offer various flavors of bakery and ice cream with reasonable pricing. The cakes all look adorable and so is the store as well as the packaging. I have tried the matcha crepe and it is yummy as expected. Flavorful and creamy yet light and soft; very elegant and pleasing.
Daan Go is a premium boutique cake shop. The cake looks great and tastes delicious. The cost is on the higher end, however worth the money. Would recommend for cake gifts for holidays, anniversary, birthdays. You have try their Macrons which is one of the most creative and good looking cookie I have tried, which also tastes great. If you want to surprise your loved ones this the place you should try.
The macarons have the perfect texture. For that 5*. It’s the flavours that get 4* and that of course is a matter of personal preference. I don’t care for any of the fruity favours and in a mixed box of 18, you get a lot of fruity flavours. I chose the mixed box for a gift so that the recipient would see all of the cute designs. Would definitely return!! Going forward tho, I’d select the flavours accordingly.
Both these cakes chestnut and milk tea were amazing! I love the integration of the crunchy base, it gives a lot of contrasting texture to the traditional Chinese cake. I’m not usually a macaron fan, but their flavours are unique and not too sweet.
So happy we finally have a Daan Go in Mississauga! Since they've opened, I've ordered several cakes for multiple occasions. I love how they have unique flavours that incorporate asian influences. So far we've tried their Pandan, Peach, Mont Blanc and Diamond cakes. All have been delicious! I usually order online ahead of time, which makes picking up super easy. Looking forward to trying more flavours in the future!
3:15 - Vietnamese coffee layer was strong and wonderful! My fave layer. Hong Kong milk tea layer was light and mild. Thorn Durian cake - fresh and real fruit flavor, yummy, lovely design. Small size though for $45. Both cakes had the perfect level of sweetness! Not overly sweet. Very creative and pretty creations. Friendly service.
First time here at this location! I've been to the one downtown. They have fancy Cakes and Macaroons I got a bowl of Ramen for my sister-in-law's Birthday. Have a look at my pictures and press the like button! If you like what I do, press the follow button to see what I do next! You got to eat here!
So happy they opened in Mississauga! My first experience was in Kensington market for their character macarons. The girl there was very friendly and helpful today. It's my first time ordering a cake and she was very knowledgeable about the sweetness levels of each one and what the target group would like. Also trying these out for the first time. The campfire cookie was devoured in the car so no pic haha Love their packaging. The store was nice and clean. No macarons this time, but they have fun flavours with cute designs. Worth a try!
It's a long story. If needed I have screenshots of all emails and replies. I had my heart set on these adorable Macaron Tower cakes. Two months before my event, I email Daan Go to ask if they could deliver to my event. My closest Daan Go is in Scarborough but my event was in Etobicoke, so I knew not to order for delivery in Scarborough. I was told yes they could absolutely deliver and 2 weeks before my event I should place the order on their website. Well, exactly 2 weeks before I go to order and the website says they don't deliver. After multiple attempts, I emailed and was told a "dedicated team" was investigating. I called the Mississauga location to try to order, and I'm told they can't do orders over the phone. My partner and I travel from Scarborough all the way to Mississauga to order, only to be told the website had a glitch, and they can't deliver from the Mississauga location because it's handled by a 3rd party company, Celebration Cakes. We're told to complain directly to Daan Go by email, and Celebration Cakes. We decide to order at the Mississauga location, since we already made the trip, and ask to pick up the day before the event. Meanwhile, I get an email from Daan Go, letting me know they saw I placed the order and were wondering if "everything was good now?" I said no. I wanted to knoe if their "dedicated team" figured out what the "glitch" was. Spoiler alert: there was no dedicated team. Based on the generic "We're sorry for the inconvenience" statements, no one was investigating. They insisted there was no glitch appearently, and no one lied. I sent them acreenshots showing otherwise. After some back & forth I simply said: don't make promises you can't keep and don't say you're investigating & then take it back when the customer bends over backwards to solve the problem. Oh, & the cherry on top: for an additional $95 they offered to have the cakes delivered by staff from THE SCARBOROUGH LOCATION. My jaw dropped when I read that email. & when I refused, they snapped back, saying they only offer this service for wedding cakes. The kicker, these were actually for my wedding. I didn't say so because we're on a budget. Mind you, $360 For two small cakes is still pretty expensive. So, a few days before, I called the Mississauga location, to ask if we could pick up the cakes the day of instead, giving them an extra day to have them ready. When we went to pick them up at opening: 11am on Saturday, they told us to wait an additional ten minutes. We asked if they were ready & insisted they were. I can assure you it was longer than ten minutes. We hadn't even left the store & we could hear and feel the cookies falling off. Look at the photos. These cakes were an absolute disaster! The quality was horrible. The cookies tasted fine, seems to be their specialty. The fondant wasn't editable, tasted like plastic and super thick. This almost ruined my wedding, but according to "Debbie" If I had told them it was for a wedding, I would've gotten a better service? So, unfortunately from almost beginning to end this was an awful experience. The cakes were not worth the money. If you want to buy their cookies, maybe but I definitely don't recommend them for any events. They frankly don't deliver, there is something wrong with their website, and their customer service is deplorable. Hire anyone else. Their founder should be absolutely embarrassed.
