This bakeshop is lively and offers a wide assortment of delicious middle eastern sweets. Their baklava is well worth the trip. You will want to eat a variety of them so that you can pick your favourite. An espresso will cost you $3.00, and a cappuccino, which is served in a generously sized cup, will cost you $4.50. The decor is cozy and the music and overall vibe add positively to it. There is an ample amount of booth seating and good table service, but many customers are there simply to pick up generous trays of desserts to take home. Don't forget to pre-tip at the counter when you pay for your sit-down order.
This is the best location in the GTA for baklava, hands down! And this is coming from someone who loves baklava and has tried many locations over the years. Baklava from the Middle East is number 1, Crown Pastries is 1A. The first thing that caught my eye was how spotlessly clean the place is. That gets top marks from me, especially when you have food items exposed to the interior environment. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Who doesn’t love being greeted by a smile and a welcome? No one! As for the baklava, we’ll, let’s just say you can’t stop at just one. Just make sure your gym membership is up to date before visiting this location
Diverse variety of baklava, with pistachio, pecan, and walnut options! They are beautifully made and are stuffed with high quality nuts. I also tried the kunafa but was a bit disappointed as it was not too flavourful, and the cheese seemed to be too firm even after being warmed.
If you’re looking for a good baklava spot, you came to the right place. They have such a huge variety of pastries and they’re all super yummy! The staff are so friendly too! They even let us try a couple pastries to taste it before we bought them. We went home and ate it with ice cream! Definitely recommend this spot
This place used to carry the best Baklava in the GTA, but something changed recently, and the original taste is no more there. For example, I ordered Kunafa last time for a family gathering, and the taste was so bad. Cheese was hard even after warming it up, and the top kunafa layer was loose, dry, and lacked the taste. The price is not cheap and seems to increase recently. The place is clean and has a nice setting area. The presentation of different desserts is perfect. People are so helpful and professional. I really wish they looked after the quality issue.
Extremely beautiful and classy ambiance. Pricey desserts there to any taste buds vide selections of baklavas always fresh. Kunafa we ordered did not met standards as it was having bad sort of cheese in it and Turkish ice cream was too starchy texture not feel like ice cream
Holy wow this has to be the best baklava I’ve ever had! It was oozing with flavour and still warm. Sooo delicious. The place is very nice and clean, and I would 100% return.
Amazing staff and delicious baklawa and tea. The kunafa wasn’t very good but the rest were amazing. There’s few tables inside to dine in.
Lovely place, so many choices, I want to try them all. Small platter displaced in seconds with a crown. Always get a 2nd platter just for yourself. Delicious pastries, highly recommended. Don't get the small platter, get the largest one you can and enjoy.
Unreal Baklava at a great price! This place is a gem that I am thankful was shown to me. A friend kept hearing how good this place was from coworkers and they were right. They’re countless variations of baklava and pistachio desserts to order as well as various other desserts like the cookies and cream cake. Everything pictured was less than $13 and was perfect for a lightish dessert for three people. This place is a must-try for anybody who hasn’t had as well as anybody who loves baklava!
