D.C. Cobb's

This is the second time we've tried to order from there and was rudely shut down on the phone. We place big orders, but they refuse to take a pick up order over the phone. So we go in to place the order and literally got there at 9pm because we had to drive in to order and the manager refused to take our order because the kitchen was now closed. They closed the kitchen at 9, we got there at 9 and literally was told the kitchen staff went home. Which is a bold face lie! Its now 909 and we are back home without food.. being that we just moved here, we are trying different restaurants. This place has to be the rudest most unprofessional place I've ever been too. And I've worked in restaurants most of my life. We will never come back and I will never recommend this place ever!

This was a great experience. They were song their Monday night trivia and this week it was Disney themed. The atmosphere was fun, and the host of trivia, Justin, was an absolute delight. Lots of energy throughout the whole bar as we competed for prizes. The drink selection was huge and they made my long island perfect. I had their special burger of the month and I was no less than impressed with their cook's handiwork! I will definitely be visiting this place again and consider renting their up stairs rooms for a future event or party. Thank you for the hospitality! And I will be seeing you all in the very near future.

We went here with our 9 year old daughter and my 66 year old mom. It's mostly a bar but does have a few tables. Our server was very nice and helpful and food came out really quickly. So many creative burger choices, it is hard to choose which one to try. Prices were good too. Huge burger with a side (several to choose from) for $10. We enjoyed the food and also liked the beer options. My mom hates beer and we got her to try a maple stout. She said it didn't even taste like beer and she might come here more often! We'll definitely come back again. It's located right on the square, so parking is limited, but it's a short walk to a free parking lot right across the tracks. This is definitely mostly a bar, but our family felt welcomed and comfortable there.

Updated Post: Since my original post a few years ago I have returned to DC Cobb's several times. Each time has regrettably grown more and more disappointing. My last experience may have been the tipping point and I've adjusted my rating appropriately. We walked in the front door to the strange wall that blocks out the video gaming stations. The first thing to hit our noses was not juicy burgers and sizzling bacon but instead the sickening, stench of an airport toilet permeating through the entire restaurant. Despite the small crowd on a lazy Sunday afternoon we hardly saw our server. He was far more interested in flirting with ladies at the bar than checking on guests. The table was wobbly and spun on it's stem. The restroom toilet was busted. The exterior windows and signs were grimy, dirty and worn. The place just looked sad. The meals were okay, but far from the glory of a few years ago. While the bacon was limp and under-cooked everything else was descent. The fried green beans were a nice treat and their chili is still delicious. I hope we experienced a low point in the restaurant because I really looked forward to meals here. I'll try somewhere else next time I'm in Woodstock. Original Post: I ate at Cobb's this past weekend. My burger was perfect! Big, juicy, high-quality beef. Moist, tasty buns and a great spread of toppings. Crispy, hand-cut fries complemented a delicious burger. My only regret is this is a long way from home!

My fave bar in Woodstock, it's always got something going on, live music, DJ, and has a massive selection of gourmet burgers and spirits. Plus, the staff are always nice, young and energetic, and they remember your name and your usual in addition to making conversation if they aren't slammed. Definitely where to go for nightlife in the Woodstock area if you don't feel like driving into Chi.
