Always stop by Thai Express next to Cultures, so decided to try Cultures. Ordered a Power Plant Burrito - generally don’t like Tempeh, but the person before me ordered a Tempeh bowl and it spiked my interest. So decided to go for it and it didn’t disappoint at all. If Tempeh is served like this I can have it all the time. The only negative? The burrito is a bit small for me and not so filling. But taste, flavour and fillings are very good. For sure coming back and trying other plant based options. Vegetarian options: Many of the items on the menu are vegetarian Dietary restrictions: Vegan and Gluten free options available
Went for lunch here on Oct 31st. One lady very friendly however other was a real piece of work. No smile and extremely short. Kept rushing us through order. Ended up putting chicken on two of our meals that was to have veggie alternative. Told her and she angrily took the bowls back and removed the chicken from them and threw the veggie option on top. I told her that was unacceptable for vegetarian and she refused to look at me or even speak! Worst service and attitude I’ve ever seen in a food establishment. Shame because honestly I love Cultures usually. :
I agree with the rest of the customers on the one star reviews. I ordered a lunch on SkipTheDishes and there was actually no room to leave many modifications so I ended up writing it in the notes. I wanted meat removed out of a sandwich. And just doing my due diligence I called this restaurant to confirm if indeed, they have removed the meat in my sandwich, before my courier picks it up the person that picked up the phone I believe was from the Thai. Xpress was very friendly, and they went over to ask about my food from the cultures. The employee in the background started using profanity, and was being very abusive about why a customer was calling and asking and that they had to remove the meat and there was no need for a customer to call to confirm. I was very taken aback by this employees behaviour and think that it is very unprofessional that they have somebody working there that thinks it's OK to swear at innocent customers calling and asking about their food order when indeed this is something that should be excepted. I will never be ordering from this restaurant again and I urge everybody to save your time and your hard earned money and other than ordering from this place, try something else. As for the restaurant management if there are so many customers leaving reviews about your staff and their attitude, I do not understand why you are not doing anything about it. I decided to ignore the reviews and I still ordered. Very very disappointed. The pictures attached are literally me discarding the food because I do not want to be eating food that has been made around so much negative energy. Unfortunately it did have to get delivered to me because it was a skip order. What a waste of time and energy.. also wanted to mention I did call the restaurant back as well and spoke to the nice person that I spoke to and explain to them that I did hear the Cultures employees swearing at me in the background and I also informed them that I was looking into ordering from this restaurants for a corporate lunch, but I will now be doing the opposite and not recommending them.
Went in today, quality food, quality product and have enjoyed for years. Todays service sucked! Lady was unpleasant, very poor customer service.Food: 5/5
The slowest service in the history of the world. The employees looked like they could not care less to work a little faster and we waited over 20 mins just to even order. Then they have the audacity to ask for tips!
Probably one of the worst customer service. I usually don’t write reviews but felt the need for this one. I come there during my breaks and the lady with black glasses usually helps me. She’s soo nice. However, the last two times I went, another woman helped me and she was obnoxious. Made me pay before I got my food even started with and was stingy with the portions. I came a second time and a guy helped me. He looked like he was done with life…..I understand u don’t want to be here, but at least pretend for the “customer service experience”. the food is already overpriced, least I would expect is decent manners. Don’t know if I would come again.
Honestly if it wasn’t the only healthish place to eat in the mall I probably wouldn’t eat here. The food is good but the service is awful. Employees seem like they would rather be else where , they wear gloves when handling your food yet touch everything from drawers to open cupboards to garbages while not changing their gloves…. I would love to say this is a one off experience but this is my experience 95% of the time.
A little overpriced, but great service and yummy vegan options for me! Vegetarian options: Great options for vegetarians and vegans! I love the Oriental Mango salad with tempeh!
Cultures is my favourite restaurant is Stone Road Mall by far and this is largely to do with the friendly and efficient service I receive each time I visit the restaurant. The menu is packed with an excellent variety of healthy and delicious choices. I have personal tried the Baja Chicken Sandwich/wrap, Prosciutto Sandwich, Pasta Salad, Fruit Salad, Bali Bowl and Southwest Bowl. So far every menu item I have tried over the years has been equally great. The dining area is clean, bright and comfortable. I would much rather eat inside Cultures than in the mall's larger food court.
Stood there for ages in an empty mall, while the sales person talked on her phone, half in English, half saying something about being told what to do. Completely ignored me while I stood there ready to purchase so I left. Disappointed as I have been buying my nose hoops here for a year.
