Story

Located in the south end of Guelph, CrossFit 1827 gets it’s name from the year John Galt cut down a tree on the Speed River, drank some whiskey and declared Guelph a city. Like the city itself, CrossFit 1827 focuses on a strong community, changing lives and challenging you to better yourself, in every respect.

Our professional coaching staff each have over 7 years of CrossFit training, coaching, and competing experience. Every one of our coaches comes with their own diverse education and training background to offer you an unparalleled CrossFit experience in Guelph. CrossFit can be intimidating, but we offer an intense workout without the intimidation.

I have really enjoyed my time and look forward to classes every week. The trainers are always so welcoming and encouraging, and I am confident I am learning, not only from professionals, but from people who are truly passionate about the sport. This gym has given me such a great new avenue to pursue my fitness goals.
CrossFit 1827 is one of my absolute favourite places. The gym and the community have helped me grow both as an athlete and as a person. The coaching, the facilities, the classes, the equipment, the community - you won’t find better anywhere else.
I’ve been a member at 1827 for the past few months, great community and gym atmosphere! Just completed a gymnastics skills class coached by Stef. Very impressed with the progressions/regressions and the pre-hab strength work that transferred so well into some of the more challenging Crossfit movements! 10/10 would recommend this place!!
Definitely the best crossfit in the world. As soon as class is over, you're thinking about the next one. Excellent quality of people, training, coaches, location and a thousand more of wonderful things.
Clean gym with good hours and plenty of space & equipment. Very friendly atmosphere, and the coaches are willing to help with whatever you might need.
CrossFit 1827 is my home away from home. The community is the best part of the experience, and it has the most welcoming space for all members. Classes are small and the attention to detail is at a maximum. Best coaches I have ever had in my life! I can’t say enough about how much 1827 has given me confidence and helped me progress in my fitness journey. I feel comfortable at all times, and every member shows respect. I would highly recommend a trial class. You will love it and never go back to a regular big box gym, ever! One class and you’re hooked!
The only regret I have is the time wasted mustering the courage to try Crossfit at 1827. This place has impactful coaching, a well-equipped gym and most importantly a fantastic and encouraging membership.
Loving this gym! Staff and members are super nice and welcoming. I never thought I’d be capable of the half the things we do, but I’m finding that I can! If you’re thinking about trying CrossFit try it out, it takes a few months to really get into it but then you’ll be amazed at what you can do.
I can not say enough good things about this gym. Easily some of the friendliest people and very supportive of folks like myself who have never done it before. Without question the best experience I have ever had In a gym and I have had many including one on one training. They say all are welcome regardless of skill or knowledge level and they mean it. Talk is cheap these fine folks walk the walk.
This has been my favourite CrossFit gym that I’ve been to. Big space, awesome coaching, and great atmosphere.
