Cranker's Coney Island

This used to be one of my favorite stops, but over the last year or so service from the kitchen has been dreadfully slow. Tonight was the third time in a row over the last few months food was slow and COLD. Service seems to take longer with each visit and tonight waited almost 20 minutes for a beer in a rather empty, brewery side of the restaurant. I've been here dozens of times over the last 10 years and tonight I decided I will not bring friends and family to dine here anymore. The beer is good and VERY consistent in taste from one visit to the next. The dark beers unfortunately have gone overly sweet and chocolaty for my taste, almost dessert beers, but the coconut porter is one of my wife's favorites. I hope they get back to the level they were a few years ago as they have a great menu and when their food is hot it's delicious, but I feel the management and staff seems to have lost their focus.

Bad bad bad bad. Food was cold. Tasted like it was four days old. The chicken was drier then a cork. Employees fighting very unprofessional. What a was of my hard earned money. On employee was walking around with fireworks. WTH.

The beers were good, but I got the brisket and it couldn't have been worse! It was definitely a few days old, and I'm pretty sure they just reheated it in the microwave. And it was cold when she brought it out

I've been a customer for years. Food is good, but there's high turnover in the wait staff, they frequently get the order wrong and they ALWAYS forget something on carry out orders, often multiple things. They're also not very good at handling these customer service opportunities. Here's a pro tip, customers don't want excuses and attitude; they want, "I'm sorry, I'll make it right." Politely reporting the issue, over and over again, has not resulted in any improvement.

A favorite place for breakfast; diverse selection; breakfast specials; still some food consistency issues from cook to cook; service is always top-notch.
