Blue Cow

One of my favorite restaurants in the area! Excellent fresh menu choices with amazing wine selection and the service is always fast and courteous. The Black and Blue Tenderloin is my go to dish and is absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend it to all steak lovers. No prepackaged frozen food here...if you're looking for upscale dining with excellent fresh food choices then you can't go wrong with Blue Cow.

The wait staff was excellent. The food was very tasty. Tried the Escargot and enjoyed the light flavor of garlic. The Honey goat cheese crostini was enjoyable but would have preferred the bread slightly less toasted. Husband tried the French Onion soup and said it was good but just a little sweet for his taste. Perhaps the type of onion used. It was still good. We both had the Champagne Chicken which was awesome. I went with the petite portion and he had the full size which is two chicken breasts. Would recommend this place to family and friends.

Service was excellent, wine appropriately priced. Enjoyed gulf shrimp Thai curry. It was delicious, but could have used more sauce in the dish. A bit overpriced, as there was not much shrimp in the dish (5).

Food was very expensive and beer was pricier than other places. Food tries to be upscale, but is just overpriced. Not impressed. Ordered a half/petite blueberry salad and one beer and paid almost $20 (with 15% tip, wait staff wan't bad). Decor is very nice to look at. Left hungry and broke.

This is the second time we've been to Blue Cow. Last year we came on Ferris parents weekend and had a good meal. The atmosphere was nice, service was good, getting food was a little slow but we are noshing on drinks, bread and appetizers. We went in tonight at 5:45. Took a full 15 minutes for anyone to say boo to us after we were seated. Looked like wait staff was running in state of chaos and the place was not at capacity ~ there were empty tables. When a waitress finally showed up she was clueless as to nightly specials for either food or drink and had to excuse herself to write them down. She did not ask if we wanted apetizers.Brought drinks but took her a long time to return to take our order. Never asked if anyone wanted a salad with dinner (small charge). After 25 minutes I got up and asked for a bread basket. For 6 of us got a tiny loaf of bread cut into bite size pieces...... Such a joke we laughed but both my husband and I were getting aggravated and embarrassed. I hour and 45 minutes later we got our dinner. Everyone was crabby. My daughter's salmon was raw. Rest of the food was fine. Not an enjoyable experience. Manager came over to the table and listened but not terribly apologetic. As we were leaving we overheard a couple complaining profusely to the manager... I don't know if the Blue Cow is under new management but we will never return.....
