I love this place!! I’ve stayed there many times and always had a great time. Most of the time the hosts were friendly and courteous but there has been a few that were kinda creepy!! I still go there to make use of the showers when they don’t lock them.
Lovely area, all frozen in the winter when I drove past.
Pulled in at 10pm looking for a place to sleep. We had passed quite a few other options right beside the Hwy, but they looked full - we didn’t need to electric or water connection. Found this place from an app- it was the right choice for us! It’s further out of town, costs $5 to simply park and $10 to connect to electric. The couple that runs it is very nice- and didn’t seem to care that we rolled in so late.
Wonderful place and absolutely huge..
The camp hosts are very kind and friendly! They maintain the affairs of the camp by proxy and hold down the fort with integrity and wise discretion. Playground: There are two locations in the middle of the grassy field area that have a swing set and slides. On the back swings area, there are teeter totters! There is a tenis court/basketball court that is gated but not locked during open season. The tennis / basketball court is not new, but it is definitely usable and a delight to have access to. There are even two horse shoe pits to use, but bring your own horse shoes. There are two baseball fields, and they are in wonderful condition. The grass is always cut and watered during open season and very well taken care of. Restrooms: There are men's and women's restrooms available during open season. The women's bathroom consists of two stalls, a shower, and one sink with a mounted mirror. There is a paper towel dispenser and usually hand soap . The shower consists of a stall door, a wooden table that resembles a bench, wall hooks, a plastic shower curtain, a well used shower caddy to house the various items a person would need for their shower. Keep in mind it is a smaller soap caddy so don't load it up like at home. The men's bathroom consists of one urinal with partition giving privacy between the sink and the bathroom goer. There is also a regular stall and a shower. This floor design is more open than the women's bathroom, which is to be expected with one less stall. The shower and amenities are the same as the women's bathroom. Both bathrooms have a large trash can as well. Dog-friendliness: I've seen many park goers bring their dogs of various sizes that enjoy the park as much, if not more, than their owners. There are communal garbage cans that are available to dispose of any waste a pet may leave during their visit. Picnic area: There is not a designated area to dine, but there are decent sized picnic tables with attached bench seating dispursed throughout the edges of the grassy field on both sides. As well as a built-in brick barbecue.
Friendly town. The trees that line the property are amazingly beautiful and have tons on stories to tell! Favorite place to camp when I want to get away from the city life. Not to far from the hot springs and have shower facilities as well.
Good small rural park. A few RVsites w power, ball fields, picnics tables,, and swings. Nice protected historical area. Been there 4 times with dogs.
Nice place to stay for a night. The bathrooms are a little old, but the toilets were clean. The shower could have used a cleaning and different mat. The caretakers that live on site were super friendly and gave great info about the area and the whole state. They don't have a dump station but have water and electric. It is only $15 per night. Playground, basketball court, and ballfield.
Very quiet which was nice after a day on the freeway. 30 mins from I-84 but worth it. Bring bug spray as yellow jackets in power box. Took me back to 80's when we first started camping. Don't forget to pay at the store before you get there.
Kinda spooky at night and a lil in the day but well maintained. Loved it
