Terrible terrible terrible horrific service. I did all due diligences on my end, took great lengths to ensure every details was accounted for in describing the ticket duplication error that occured. I talked directly to the prosecutor to have a delay of court, to which he agreed. I then never received communication of the later date and I am forced to pay up close to 6 times the amount of the ticket which was doublecharged technical error in the first place. Completely crazy, out of control , improper conduct of justice as well as plain disservice to someone that was ready to pay the original ticket but was simply contesting its duplication due to technical error. They admitted their error and still said I had no recourse except paying the x6 amount or asking for a retraction of judgement for an additional 50$ on top that can of course be denied by the judge. I am absolutely baffled that something that can add up quite heavily for a citizen isn't managed in a proper manner. The other reviews are absolutely correct. Why am I not capable of having a clear system of communication with them such as email, that would have avoided all of this.

This is what you get when police are too busy hiding behind bushes issuing tickets for rolling stop signs or minor speeding but turn a blind eye at mafia's public execution or the obvious corruption behind those government road construction contracts. Great job indeed.

@ Simon: I was there the same day as you. you were rude and acted like a fool. btw... just your rant HERE shows your true character. If you are rude , dont expect others to be nice to you. oh ... i did lose my case, but im not salty about it, i understood the issue.

my first time contesting a ticket, the Judge found a mistake on the Ticket, i was acquitted on a technicality. They are professionals, if you disagree with Judgement, go to Law School first, then complain!

Clean bright courthouse, presented my case, Judge said that there was nothing he can say against my reasoning so i was found not guilty. Justice Served!

Great place! Professional staff, I got an interpreter eng/fr free, He was very good and curtious, Prosecutor's offer was acceptable, I was in and out in 15 minutes. Sour comments mostly come from peeps , Who most likely lost their case... :-/

The complaints are valid. Terrible hours. Rude service and it's true that court hearings are only in French. I'm bilingual but my god were practically in the west island, thousands of people in this town are anglophone. Btw why do they charge a $5 fee if you pay for a ticket online? Total joke.

Terrible! I agree with other reviewer that this is a Place of INjustice. I'd say even a local "mafia" place: the judge talks to the prosecutor beforehand and makes up his mind in advance. I had a crazy case where the police agent clearly went on hunt to fulfill her ticket quota and gave me a ticket for non-traffic violation. The judge simply said that I "did not convince" him that I was right. So, if the prosecutor offers you a very mediocre settlement, you'd better take it, because there is no justice in this court and you are doomed to lose. Last thing: the hearings are held in French ONLY. You will be given an interpreter, but they speak so fast that he cannot really follow them. The judge does understand English, but he will respond to you in French.

I paid 23 dollar because I missed a court so I can make another date to contest my ticket .. I had a valid reason for not comming to court because my son had an appointment at the general hospital of Hawksberry on same date .... I mention to the judge that in case theire was no prove for speeding because no radar was showen to me ... but the worst is I didn't even get chance to have proper defense the judge even if I give another date I will find u guilty in like thats is so disrespect answer .... and in quebec court u need to find someone guilty no hear saying ... went I ask for expert to prove I was driving at 90 I got refuse for thst too ... all saw in the court is pure racism and evilness this judge have very bad attitude very rude with his colleague specialy to the grriffier I feel bad for her .... and also this judge has no presentation because he is not shaved look like a criminal or biker .. a judge need set example in his community and this judge can't even present him self as proper and cleaned allway eating something in his mouth during court time is very disrespectful not the citizens but to the queen.... I find this kind attitude has no place in a court room specially a judge the powerful person in room ... I hope action will be taken against this peace of **** .... im fed of this quebec system all they do even they know what they doing his wrong they back each other up meaning everyone thst work for the government.... its like a gang ... money is not a problem I can pay 10 time the amount of my ticket but all I ask for an expert testimony in court to prove I was driving at 90 .... why I got refuse is because I am rigth I will win the case such cheap shot of the judge .... and his attitude of superrnesss makes me sick .... and also went the judge gave his verdict the griffier made a sign with her eyes thst this is wrong .... even her she knew I deserved a chance but this judge with his attitude im sick and im quebec and judge like this dont not have his place not because he did this to me but I mean to people that works with him special the womans ... imagine what even can't do with closed doors ... he need to be fired and an investigation on him should be taken .... a request from the people...
