Country Squire Resort & Spa

We have been going to this inn for 20 years and we never had an issue until now. My husband booked over the phone and was not told that the indoor pool and sauna was not in operation - we only found out because I looked in the window and seen no water in the pool we checked in and were still not told about it until we asked - no discount was given they said the room rate had been already discounted which it wasn't - going there for 20 years I think we know the rates! We decided to make the best of it and went to the outside pool you could not see the bottom of the pool very cloudy and ants everywhere on the patio stones. I went back to the room to get a drink my card would not work on the back French doors to my room- I walked to the front door and card would not work but it had previously to put our items in- I went to the front desk to find out why my card key was not working - the lady at the desk came to try and it still didn't work she left me at the door while she checked the card out she came running back yelling at me that I was trying to get into the wrong room! I told her my personal items are there! She continued to argue it was the wrong room even though the envelope that the cards were in had the room number written on it with her hand writing! Come to find out she put us in the wrong room! We had a queen bed and paid for a king and she would not switch us to the right room we paid for! At check out time the same lady asked how we enjoyed our stay we told her how we felt and no still no discount or anything offered instead she asked us how we were paying which we already paid for it the day before while checking in! It's really too bad we created great memories there each year we went for our anniversary but this will be the last time we stay there - time to create new memories at a better runned motel.

Nothing too special, rooms were clean and had everything you need. Staff was nice and lots of parking. Would recommend if you want a no-thrills but good place to stay.

We thought we were booking a Best Western but found out when we got there that it was no longer part of the chain. We couldn't use our discounts or points cards .Then when we went to our cottage we were disappointed again !Spider webs ,mould ,and generally dirty looking .The bottom sheet was so small that in the night it totally untucked and we were on bare mattress !!Disgusting !!The whole place needs paint outside and it looks very shabby !

Very cute and cozy. Some little tweaks needed. It's always a bit scary when the light switch barely clings to the wall, especially in a bathroom. Pricing on par for this little town that always seems to be a tourist hot spot. For a night's sleep it does the trick.

Nice place with a great outdoor pool (indoor pool was closed for repair as of this writing). Rooms are clean, if not a bit dated. Breakfast was about what you would expect for a free breakfast but was not bad.
