Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Northwood, IA

Very nice hotel in the middle of no where. Was very quite considering there is a casino attached to it. Nice and clean. Great staff.

We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites because we were attending a wedding reception at the casino. We traveled 3 1/2 hours for the event, and despite arriving at noon the staff had our room ready which was a blessing because we needed somewhere to change for the wedding. The staff was very helpful, and accommodations were very nice at a reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a place to stay in the area.

I was very happy with my stay here. The room was pretty nice and the beds & pillows were very comfortable. There's a nice, flat screen TV with plenty of channels. WiFi worked well. Room temperature was perfect due to the thermostat that I could adjust. The breakfast was pretty great with fresh, hot foods and waffles, oatmeal, and yogurt plus options for toppings. There were many more options for breakfast, too many to list. One of the better breakfasts I've seen at a hotel. It is conveniently located next to the gas station and attached to the casino, which had two fast food restaurants inside.

The room was pretry nice, but they just transitioned to being a smoke free hotel and the rooms still kind of smelled like cigarettes.

Quiet, clean, comfortable. Hallways smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Big breakfast. Nice pool. Friendly staff
