Corry Memorial Hospital

Was treated there last week for what I was told was a superficial second degree burn. No tests, no x rays, just some burn cream and sent me on my way. Here I am 5 days later at the ER at Hamot being transferred by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh with a severe Third degree burn with extensive tissue damage. If you are treated there for anything. I strongly suggest you get a second opinion. It might save your limb or your life.

My husband was admitted here for 2 days due to pancreatitis and colitis. Now keep in mind he has been admitted to 2 other hospitals and also countless ER visits. This hospital was AMAZING!!!! The nurses, aides, doctors, everyone was so kind and caring. This has been a very trying time physically for my husband and out family and while he was here I was able to actually be at work without worrying that I needed to be at the hospital b/c I knew he was receiving such wonderful care. I can't sing the praises of this hospital enough. I'm so happy we ended up coming here.

The staff is friendly, But I have seen them mix more things up than they got right. Just one example. Once they insisted they had given my wife a blood test earlier in the day and had her results. That test never happened. She even showed them her arms, no marks from any such test, But they still insisted.

If you need emergency room treatment you might as well just make the drive to Erie. You might even get back to Corry before you would have been seen at this er

Terrible terrible terrible. Took my son last easter and nurse was eating peanut butter candies. She tried to stick her hand in my sons mouth for a strep test with out using gloves. If my son had an allergic reaction to nuts he could be dead. Thats just one of the many things that have happened there.
